Headed down to pier avenue looking for somewhere to grab some brunch having only been had it at Sylvio's (great btw), and stumbled into Pat Molloys...SO glad  we did. Super bargain and ultra friendly staff. $3 BOTTOMLESS mimosas for an hour with breakfast purchse, GIANT $6 tequila sunrises and bloody marys and a menu of great variety. I went for chicken fried steak and it was top notch. NOT hamburger patty like a lot of places try and pass off, actual flank steak. Mrs got a scramble off the healthy menu and it came with a ton of avocado and endless flavor. Waiter kept our drinks filled before we could even ask him for another. Lots of kids, great family vibe in the morning after who knows what happened there the night before! We will definitely be back.

Not the biggest Hermosa Beach pier fan but when I do go out to bars with friends out here I really enjoyed Boogaloos and Patrick Molloys. Went here on 4th of July and my buddies and I had to wait about 30 minutes to get in. Once we got to the front, the gentlemen told my friend that they won't take passports. ???? The hell? You're telling me you can't take my friends US passport? What kind of bar is that? Either the security was too dumb too understand what a passport is, or they were too dumb to read the whole description on it. Such a disappointment Patrick Molloys. That's like if someone out of the country wanted to have a great time and picked this joint, got denied, went to Sharkeez and dropped a couple hundred that could have been your money. Pathetic. Oh well, at least there are a bunch of other spots to hit up that won't look at a passport with a dumbfounded look on their face.

Despite the lingering odor of stale beer and last night's mistakes, Patty Molloys remains one of my favorite bars and brunch spots in the South Bay for a few reasons:

    1) The price is tough to beat. You can easily leave brunch with a full tummy and a good buzz from their $3 unlimited mimosas for close to ten bucks
    2) On a typical Friday or Saturday night when most Hermosa bars have lines out the door and a ridiculous wait time for drinks, you can almost always walk into Molloys and find a decent crowd, good music, and a drink in your hand within 5 minutes.
    3) It's not as douchey as Sharkeez. Enough said.
