Cafe Boogaloo

This place has been boarded up for a couple of months, not sure when or if it will be reopened. All articles I've read about its closing have indicated they were making more money on booze and not food, selling alcohol to minors, and a couple workers allegedly sold narcotics to undercover police officers.

If you've ever been there or met some of the more shady workers, this hardly comes as a surprise.

Cafe Boogaloo was close in June of 2013.

I love the shrimp po boy! Yummmmmm! Food good, service usually not so good. I usually end up here to see a band. Good blues but if you want to have much conversation it's a bit loud for that. I love the look of the place. Lots of cool art. It's a bit different from the usual Hermosa frat crowd, but they can trickle in there too.  Btw some of us are not cougars. We just happen to be over 40 and still love to see a good band and have a good time. You wouldn't catch me alive with one of the Hermosa frat boys. However I'm usually out of there by 9. What ? I got to get my beauty sleep.
