Renato Pizza

Renato's was a staple of my childhood. Ah how I used to bike there after swim team practice and have pizza and blue water ice. Renato's is good for slices and is very kid-friendly. It certainly attracts the middle school and high school crowd on Friday and Saturday nights. As for the food, it's not the best pizza I've ever had, but their white pizza with spinach is very tasty. Add a little garlic, hot pepper flakes, and oregano and you've got yourself a nice little meal.

Right in the heart of Swarthmore is this great little pizza spot. I knew it was good because my niece will ONLY eat their pizza. Pizza I consider really good just doesn't measure up in her opinion. So last night after I pick her up for her Mom she asks if I can get her a pizza at Renato. Now I have had a slice or two there and thought it was OK, but I know to judge pizza right you need to order a whole pie pipping fresh out of the oven. The pie was excellent! Wonderful, gooey mozzarella cheese. Tasty sauce. fresh dough just cooked right. A winner! What does the good book say about a child shall lead them? Consider me a new follower of Renato!

Amazing pizza and hoagies!! Very friendly staff! Can't beat it!
