I had no idea this bar was even here. Â apparently, it used to be a bar called "R and B" or something like that, and the new owner made improvements, so that is good!
this is definitely a GUYS bar - the waitresses do theme costumes (like how Aiea bowl does or did.... i'm not sure if they do it still). Â each week is different i guess - so when i went, the waitresses were dressed in lingerie. Â i walked in, and was like "um..... why are there chicks in underwear here?!" Â oh.... they're the waitresses......
The music was very, very loud, to the point where we all were getting a headache, BUT, the waitresses are pretty nice, so if you ask them to turn down the volume, they will :)
The drinks are expensive...
- $9 for a pitcher of soda? Crazy. Â
- $8 for a Jaeger bomb shot? Wtf..... Â
- $5 for a beer?... ok, this is not so out of the ordinary, but still..... damn
there are 2 pretty decent 7-foot pool tables, 8+ dart boards all over the bar, karaoke, and small stage for live music.
Really crappy parking, or you can park up stairs for $5....
i didn't try the food, but if i ever have to come back here i might.... i'm not sure how i'd feel about receiving food from a chick in her underwear :P
I attended the StarStruck event at this place and at first I was skeptical of what I should expect, but this place is pretty awesome, its easy to finf and their is a lot of parking. The owner is really cool, he came out side and greated us and talked a little. The bartenders are super cool too, they dont bother you like other bars, they kind of just watch you and if you look like you need another drink, theyll ask you if you want something. The environment was any typical little bar, dark lights, high chairs, booth seating, a bar, a little stage and a pool table. I enjoyed this place and ill definitely go back just on a regular day.
Review Source:A nice little homey spot. I hadnt been here before, but my friends had so they knew everyone. We went pretty early in the day on a holiday so it was rather empty which was nice because im not to fond of crowded bars. There were lots of dart boards to play on, which was what we were there for.
One thing that I was a bit disappointed with was the beer that I drank tasted old like it had been chilled, sat in the sun , then chilled again and maybe was bit old. It definitely had a funny taste to it and thats a beer that i drink on a regular basis.
I would go back during a chill time, but if there are a lot of people I dont think I could handle it.
The parking is minimal, its about $2 for every 2 hours unless there is a spot in the front.
Went here for my first time with a few friends for drinks late evening.
I like everything about this place except that it's location is on sand island access road. I guess that could be a good thing since it's pretty centralized.
I been here a few years ago obviously before they renovated because it's a really nice bar now. Cool staff. Decent prices. Lots of entertainment like pool and darts and music.
This area of kalihi is more of the industrial business district. I don't think it's as dangerous as some may think. Parking is right out front. Everything else is closed except for the bar.
We went the other night for karaoke, and regretted it within a few minutes. The servers were nice, but the drinks were horrible (our drinks were very weak and watered down, whereas I overheard a few locals saying how strong theirs were), and the atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable. And the karaoke was more geared to people who just wanted to "perform" the chorus of their favorite rap songs, not those who actually wanted to sing. Never making the mistake of going back.
Review Source:Upon arriving at Rende Vuu, I was a bit sketched out by the location. Â I first visited Rende Vuu on a Monday night around 11PM. Â It's in the middle of auto shops and has very little lighting at night. Â If I didn't know better, I'd think that this bar would be a cheap strip club. Â But I found out that it's far from that. Â There are a few stalls outside of the entrance for parking, but there's also a lot of auto shops with parking stalls. Â (you've just gotta park there while they're closed)
The ambiance of the bar is very chill. Â They have maybe 2 cocktail waitresses to take care of the bar. Â They have a juke box, a stage, a karaoke machine, 3 dart boards, and a few pool tables. Â The sitting area consists of maybe 6 or 7 booths, so the bar is not that big. Â Dart games here are 75cents so that is very affordable. Â I've heard that they hold leagues here, so if you're just throwing for fun I'd make sure that it's not during a league night. Â Drinks here are a bit pricey. Â I'm used to small bars with affordable drinks, so when I bought a round of shots for $7 each, I was shocked. Â A bottle of Heineken is pricey as well. Â I believe it was $5 or $6 per bottle. Â They do have discounted shots while a certain red light is flashing, but the discount is maybe a dollar or two off. Â I'm not sure if they serve food, I've never seen a menu around nor seen anyone eating bar food.
What stood out to me was the sense of family with the workers at Rende Vuu. Â Everyone was friendly, and they welcomed their patrons into their family as well. Â I definitely felt the homey vibe at this bar. Â I would definitely revisit this bar to shoot darts, though I might do it sober to save some money.
Rende vuu? Sounds like a ghetto strip club right? In kalihi. But its not.:) some co workers and I came here last nite for someone's bday and some leaving for college.
We got here about midnight and they close at 2. It's a pretty chill place. It looks small from the outside, but its long. It extends far back with almost everything you would expect in a bar/club.
Pool tables (2) dart boards (3), karaoke, a small dance floor / stage. Good loud music.
Negatives: I think they stop selling pupus at 11. So no garlic fries or drinking food :( they do give u random pupus for free though so thanks to them .
Would def come here again since its close to work and the drink prices are reasonable. They do only have bottles . No pitchers here.
The owner ( forgot his name ) walks around. Cool guy who tells everyone howzit, hi, etc. Nice, friendly local waitresses and staff who speak English :)
5 stars next time, add more pupus to buy.
By the area and look of the building outside, you would think you would be walking into a run down dirty bar. Boy was a amazed! This bar is huge with a stage and dance floor, lots of booths and high tables, and don't for get the bar is long.
This place host dart leagues and pool leagues as well!
Very friendly atmosphere/ employees.
Drink prices are slightly cheaper than town.
This is truly a hidden gem!
