Romano's Macaroni Grill

While my wife and I generally enjoy Macaroni Grill, this location is pathetic and horribly mismanaged..  Last year we attempted to eat at this location and waited 15+ minutes to be seated and another 15 minutes before we left without having our drink order taken.

More recently, 2/13 we went to this location for dinner and the following list of things occurred:

1.  No hostess at the hostess stand when we came in. Had to wait maybe ten minutes and the next two groups had similar experiences.

2. Two table behind us hadn't been bussed and even after complaining after 30 minutes the manager made an excuse and sent the hostess and a line cook over to clean the table.

3. Said line cook and hostess were slamming around obviously unhappy with their task.

4. One of the other waiters badmouthed our waitress to us.

5. This same waiter was complaining about work with the hostess and talking about how much money she makes and how unfair it is that she has to bus a couple tables.

6. One of the line cooks was talking on his cell phone while preparing food. I saw the manager walk by this cook at least twice without saying anything.

7.  While replacing the paper they put on the tables the hostess dropped some of them on the floor and then proceeded to pick them up and put them on the rail where they keep them on top of the clean ones.

8. The peasant bread and zucchini fritta were overcooked.

9. My wife's pasta di mare had cracked muscle shells with the bits of shell in the pasta which she just picked out since we were ready to be out of there.

Despite all of this, our waitress was doing the best job she could but I would not recommend this location to anyone. JUST STAY AWAY!

I've sent a complaint to their corporate offices with the same complaint.

Horrible!  My husband had been wanting to try Romano's for a while.  So we decided to stop by and have dinner.  Our server was horrible.  When our pasta dish arrived the noodles were all stuck together in one huge lump.  My husband, who generally would NEVER say anything negative actually told the manager what a disappointment our meal was.  He could have cared less.  Will never go back again.  It was painful to actually have to pay for the experience we had.

We wanted something basic for lunch and this was near by, what a mistake!

We had the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer which were good but nothing special. I ordered the lasagna and she ordered chicken marsala. My lasagna had such a bland taste, on par with frozen if not worse. Her chicken marsala was awful, bar none the worst I have ever seen or tasted, she took a few bites and stopped. I felt like throwing up after trying a bite, it tasted like really nasty Chinese food that someone left out for a while. Sure enough not long after my wife got sick.

The service was below average, it wasn't very busy yet they acted like it was. I kept hearing a lot of yelling back and fourth to do your job between some employees, terrible atmosphere. They comped my wife's meal but we refused to replace it with something else because honestly the food sucked.

I think their main problem is the cooks are not any good and the employees know it, they didn't seem very surprised when we told them how bad it was. How is this place still in business?

We will never be returning here again.
