Ted Turner owns a restaurant. Â And he owns a bunch of land out west. Â I'm wondering if he supplies his restaurants with beef and bison. Â Guess I should look that up.
He owns a bunch of other stuff too, but I don't know what he still owns and what he sold off. Â So apparently I don't keep up on what Ted Turner is doing these days.
I typically go to Ted's for business lunches. Â It's a great "guy" sort of restaurant although I've seen plenty of women dining there as well. Â Ted's is known for it's burgers and you can order them in either a beef or bison version. Â They are a little pricey, around $12 for beef and $15 for bison. Â But it's very high quality, so I suppose that justifies the price. Â Large selection of sides, they always offer a half & half - half fries, half onion rings. Â They don't look at you like you are crazy if you order an Arnold Palmer.
I've never had a bad meal here, but I've never gotten anything other than a burger. Â If you're in the mood for a burger, then check Ted's out at least once.
I'd rate it 4 stars but the service is almost always a little sketchy. Â Slow, confused, unmotivated....not sure what it is but no one who works there seems to be particularly good at what they do. Â But it's not so bad that it will keep me from going back for lunch again some time.
I did not realize this was a chain till a friend of mine told me. I ordered the bison burger which is a leaner type of meat. It was very good and not to dry. The menu offers plenty of choices for everyone. I liked the atmosphere and I love that the restaurant is very eco-friendly and clean!
This is a great place to take your family or co-workers out for dinner!
So normally I avoid chains whenever possible. Â This one seemed to have some good ratings and was across the street from my appointment. Â Seemed like a good place to meet my coworkers.
Big menu featuring burgers with beef or bison. Â I get grass fed ground bison at a store near my home and really love it. Â It has a slightly stronger flavor profile than beef but for most people, they wouldn't know the difference. Â So I get to the America's Cup burger and realize who Ted is. Â I went with blue cheese & bacon. Â It was really good. Â Very moist and flavorful.
Great service and while I would love to knock the chain, I can't do it to Ted's.
