Modest sized Italian place with a fairly cheap menu. Most you'll probably spend is $12.00 for an entree. There are everyday specials so be sure to check it out for a good deal. Classic Italian items include various sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and chicken dishes. Everything is pretty good overall. If you're getting pizza, live on the edge and try one of the specialty pizzas. Pizza by the slice and delivery service are available. They serve booze here and there's even a small bar in the corner. Service is good and staff is friendly.
Review Source:Romano's makes the perfect example of the classic Chicago tavern style, thin crust pizza with homemade sausage. Â The crust is very thin with nice, crisp edges. Â The cheese is very tasty, and the tomato sauce is the perfect blend of garlic, zest, and sweetness. Â Most places are rarely all three, but Romano's tomato sauce recipe is somehow pulling it off. Â And the above mentioned sausage is housemade, and it's perfectly seasoned. Â It's excellent in every way. Â
The cheesecake desert is very good, and they have free drink refills for your pop.  The server was very nice, and very family friendly/accomodating.  She seemed to know everybody in the place by first name, and she made us feel like she'd known us for 20 years, even though this was the first time I ever stepped foot in the place. Â
This was an excellent experience all the way around.  Romano's is the quintessential Chicago thin crust pizza with sausage.  Very old school in everyway.  No wonder why they were in business for 60 years from their original location in Des Plaines.  Hopefully, they will live a long life at this new location in Rosemont.
