I've passed Rosa's on the way out of PA several times and put it on my back burner until I had another chance to visit. Today was that day.
Rosa's is a pretty basic pizza parlor. When you walk in there's a bench on your left for folks waiting on carry out. A counter / kitchen along the back wall that is partially a glass display. You will see several assortments of pizza's Neapolitan and Sicilian in it with various toppings. On your left is the dining room and on the right is a enclosed game room with some old arcade machines and such and rest rooms.
I ordered two slices of peperoni and they were dressed on the spot and thrown in the oven. After I ordered the meal I grabbed a carry out menu and took a seat. The dining area is simple and easy to navigate, however the tables and booth's have seen better days. My bench shifted when I sat down and the table next to mine was visibly leaning. Otherwise the establishment was clean and neat.
I was called to the counter when my slices were ready. They were large and thin. The dough was cooked, yet very soft. I definitely had to fold these slices to eat them. I liked the sauce, it was a little on the bitter side which I prefer over sweet. The cheese and pepperoni were average. This pie definitely falls into my "utility pizza" category. It was decent and filled the spot, but not worth raving over.
According to the carry out menu Rosa's is definitely a full service restaurant. Besides pizzas of all types they have Steaks, Calzones, Â Sandwiches, Hoagies, Soups, Burgers and a variety of pasta based dishes. I may give them a try on another visit and try out a cheesesteak.
Last but not least, I had great customer service today. The person working the counter was definitely a people person and we bantered for a few minutes. That alone will bring me back to many places. Give them a try if you're out in the New London area.
