Came here to eat in an OMGWEARESTARVING find-the-closest-acceptable-restaurant-thats-open-on-Sunday fit while we were in town.  It was super close to the hotel, got good ratings here, and was open. SOLD.

I really dig the patio out back, although most of it is above the back parking lot  versus waterfront like I was expecting.  You can still SEE the water, though, so that's definitely a bonus. I liked that there were umbrellas over all the uncovered tables, although in the afternoon there's not really much you can do to get away from the sun.  It was okay since it was nice and cool out, but in the summer I'm betting it gets pretty brutal out there.  I found the picnic-table seating outside quaint but uncomfortable, and the guy agreed with me (which is rare since he has more padding, ahem).  Also make sure to choose an upwind table if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke, though, because there is smoking allowed out here.  The atmosphere was exactly what I expected for a sports-bar type place, although it was definitely more sports than bar which I appreciate.  Lots of big TVs even out on the patio, which will be a big plus for any diehard sports fans.  A metal bucket recessed into the table for a roll of paper towels, which was kinda cool.  No pretenses and cloth napkins here, y'all.  Come as you are -- which was kinda scrubby because we had been in a car traveling pretty much alllll day long.  I really love a laid-back kind of place, in a very big way.

The food was fine... nothing to write home about, which is (again) exactly what I expect from a sports bar.  You don't go there for the food, you know?  I had the seafood sampler.  The shrimp (four of them, if I remember correctly) was large and butterflied, battered with the big-panko-type batter (what IS that stuff, anyway?) -- tasty, but a little on the greasy side, even for fried food.  The crab balls were slightly bland but still good.  The fish was battered in a floury almost tempura style batter which I personally don't like -- it just holds way too much grease and always tastes funky to me.  The fish inside (which was one huge long piece, by the way) was moist and flaky and delicius, though -- definitey worth the hassle of picking it all out of the batter shell, haha.  The hush puppies had a great flavor but were ever so slightly doughy inside. French fries tasted a little off, like they're cooked in the same grease as the fish maybe (?), but they were fair enough.  I appreciated that the meal came with ketchup, cocktail sauce, and tartar sauce without me having to ask. Kiddo ordered a cup of the red beans and rice off the regular menu, which was in actuality a fairly decent sized bowl.  You could easily get this as a meal, which is exactly what we did. I was a little surprised to see big HUGE chunks of celery and bell pepper (my NOLA roots were screaming "wrong!!" haha).

Service was friendly and capable, no complaints there.  The drinks and food came out quickly (we came at a slow time, though, so I can't speak for service time during peak hours) and we were checked on often.  All in all, it's a decent place to go if you want to grab a bite to eat in a super laid-back kind of place.  A step above chain food for sure.

I was here for a NASA event... so it was early and rather low key.  To me this place is just a regular bar with decent happy hour prices.  The best part about it is the view of Clear Lake while sitting outside.  Of course if it's too hot or too cold that might not work out all to well.   I don't usually hang out in Seabrook but if I happen to be that way, I'd be game to go again.

i hate this place. my best friend likes to hang out here. so, i end up here against my will. the drinks are normal priced, food is over priced and lacks in taste as well as quality. the bar tenders are rude. they have their favorites and pay little attention to you if you arent a regular.  the croud is loud (i know its a bar) and obnoxious. a lot of older men with money and younger jock types that like to yell at the TVs when the game is on. most of the time there are few women in the bar. i avoid it when i can , but if my buddy is paying i cant complain.

Great late night menu!!!  Because we are in the restaurant industry, we are always looking for somewhere to go, in Seabrook, after 10pm.  Sam's boat has great drink specials and we like the outdoor patio with views of the water.

Who got me addicted to crawfish? Sam's Boat!
The Nasa Rd location is substantially smaller than the one in Houston, but by far still great!
The patio is huge, which I've mentioned before, I'm a huge fan of. Its great during the summer, they have umbrellas for shade, great beer menu, good food, good people. All around good!

I have been here a few times. The view from the patio makes this a 5 star place. The food is good, but not great. I like the chicken tacos, but my friends all love the fish tacos. (I don't like seafood much).

Went there Saturday night.  The back porch is small and the band was very loud at maybe 6:30 pm.  If you had no desire to converse, perfect.  Ate inside.  Service was slow, and pretty clueless.  Drinks were always empty (beer, tea, margaritas and water).  The gumbo had a very strong flavor with nothing in it.  3 small pieces of shrimp, maybe half a dozen pieces of pepper and a teaspoon full of rice.  The crawfish were the worst I've had in a while.  So small, it was a travesty to harvest them.  The parboil goes in the water you boil it in, you don't roll the mudbugs in it AFTER they are cooked (or should I say overcooked).  The snapper wasn't bad, but the portion was small and overcooked. Pontchartrain?  Really?

Maybe a twenty somethings could overlook all the faults, except it was too expensive for that clientele.  Plenty of better choices.

I love this place the staff is really friendly and they actually take the time to talk to you. I have been going there for a awhile now and they have went through a few changes in management but its still a great atmosphere. It is right on the water and it has a great patio. Great drink specials and happy hour.

Sam's is the place to go if you're looking for tasty bar food and cheap drinks. The waitresses all seem pretty friendly and they've got a lot of tv's to watch sports on. The view is very impressive and they often have bands playing on the stage outside. They also have pool tables. It's a great place to grab a beer and watch the sun set.

Love this place!  It's exactly what it sets out to be:  a casual place on the water with very good food.  Have eaten here many many times, and the service has always been good.  My favoriteis the shrimp brochette, but the salads are great too.  Plenty of parking in the huge lot.  Cold beer, a view of the water, and all the t.v. screens you could want....what more do you need?

Other reviews on here complained about lack of service, but we had a different experience.  We went today (Sunday) the first week of NFL and sat where we wanted.  The bar was pretty full, but the rest of the restaurant had plenty of seating, including the outdoor patio seating.   It was game day, so of course ppl were inside with the TVs.

Within 45 seconds of sitting down someone came to take our drink orders and brought us menus.

We shared the chili cheese fries - perfect bar food.  I had Dos XX and Corona Light, he had iced tea.  Beer was cold.

I ordered seared yellowfin tuna salad which was mixed greens, cold green beans, tomato, egg topped with a perfectly seared tuna steak.  M had the shrimp po boy with onion rings.  The o rings were very good, breaded just right and a little sweet.  His po boy was really good.  The shrimp were butterflied, breaded nicely and tasted a little sweet.  The po boys were accompanied by tasty slaw on the sandwich.  I will definitely get the fried shrimp next time! (I posted photos here)

Our server kept checking on us and even let me know ahead of time they ran out of Dos XX.  We will definitely come back!

The service is slow. All but once I have had to hunt down my own menus and call out for a waiter/waitress to acknowledge our existence. The crawfish tasted like they ran out of spices and opted to dump a bucked of salt on top, not once but all four times I've ordered them. The patio is pretty cool and the bar, while not the cheapest, at least kept me relatively happy for the evening.

Walked in & went straight to the patio. 2 waitresses passed by twice & neither said hello nor ever said someone would be with us. After about 10 min of waiting & in a non busy establishment. We walked out & the bartender & waitresses just looked but no one said anything. Bad service & this isn't the first time it happens here...

There were 3 of us for lunch and we were in and out in less than 45 min. Food was great, we all had something different and all were good portions and tasted great! Service was good too. Would definitely come back again.

I stayed for 30 minutes, so I can only base my review off of a single item ordered - a long island iced tea. You get what you pay for. The long island was $6, but weak. I didn't even feel any alcohol in my system, unlike most long islands. If anything, there is more of an error to put too much than too little alcohol. So, I probably would not recommend this place as a bar.

Just to note on a Saturday night, it was pretty much dead inside the restaurant itself, but the back patio with a good live band was hopping.

Great crawfish (when in season of course) like the Happy Hour and daily specials. Been to Sam's Boat about 8 times always have great service and for UFC fight night they always have room. The place is pretty huge bars back to back one inside one outside what more could you ask for.

The more I think about the evening that I had here recently the less it becomes anything to write home about. It's a pretty standard Clear lake bar, Chaps drinks aren't that special in Texas. And well frankly neither is this spot.

They got crawfish! it's salty and spicy! just the way I like it.
it's a little bit expensive right now, but hopefully will change with the season.

Went here for lunch today with my Supervisor.  Lovely back patio/deck area overlooking the water (see pics).  I probably would have given it more stars if I was enjoying a cold one, but alas it was during work ;-)

Ordered a lunch special:  1/2 of a Turkey BLT and Seafood Gumbo for 6.95.

Sandwich was good--then again, it is pretty hard to screw up a BLT w/Turkey and the Gumbo was spicy with small shrimp, a few tiny pieces of chicken and a few pieces of andouille sausage.

It was all OK.  If I hadn't been sitting outside enjoying the nice weather, I would have given it one less star (just kidding)....typical, quick place you go to have lunch during work-that pretty much sums it up!
