Thankfully it stated pouring down on my way home. Raining so hard I had to find cover in the only open place close by - Sangillo's. A hole in the wall, a dive, a fun straight up yuppie killer of a place. Numerous beers on draft and in the bottle. Great jukebox. Superb banter with the locals. Non-social, conformists stay away.
Review Source:I loved this place! Â What a great dive bar! Â Randomly strolled in here while waiting out a rain storm before a concert at ferry terminal. Â Two girls from Boston walk in, all regular patrons turn around and give us the "who the hell are you" looks before turning around and continuing to imbibe. Â The bartender was quite nice to us. Â In addition to the standard Bud Light, Coors, Miller, they also paid homage to Maine breweries with Geary's and Shipyard. Â Interestingly, if you are up for it - jello shots are $1.50 a piece. Â The juke box was playing good ol' rock and roll (lots of Johnny Cash and southern rock). Â If you are hungry there is an extremely limited food menu - though everything comes with chips (they proudly advertise that fact). Â Egg rolls, hot pockets, and corn dogs are the available fare. Â Did not eat while we were there.
