Great local spot where everyone seemed to know each other. My friends and I walked in the day before Labor Day and noticed all the signage saying they were closing. I'm not sure of the local news here, but I believe they will be moving into a better space soon. Because of the closing, they ran out of a few ingredients for our brunch, but despite this everything was still good!
I had a filling breakfast burrito, and my other friends had the pancakes. There's a good variety on the menu so I believe there's something for everyone here. Our server was nice and I loved how they also had teenagers working - seems like a great place to get work experience at a young age.
Prices are affordable. If you had way too many $19 lobster rolls and you're broke, this is a nice respite for good food that won't hurt your wallet.
The general store I used to walk to as a kid is still here...as I discovered on a trip down memory lane recently. Wow. It didn't serve food way back then, but I loved coming here and doing what kids do: buy penny candy. This is an old school place and I was absolutely shocked to find it not only open but thriving. The nouveau riche have effectively taken over the sleepy little Stephen King like town I grew up in, but gritty funky Rudy's still stands.
