I'm giving this particular Schlotsky's a 2 star rating ONLY because of the service. I LOVE their food, always have since I discovered them when I was a kid. No problem there.
They just really need new people working here. Every time I've been to this one, I have to deal with a very bored looking teenage girl that seems like she has no idea what she's doing (why isn't she in school at 1pm on a weekday?!). I've noticed her screwing up other people's orders too.
Plus, I think they have maybe one or two people in the back making the food. Every time I've been it's taken at least 20 minutes to get my food...and it's not even crowded, maybe 2 people ahead of me. I would say, "well maybe it's just this one time, I'll cut some slack,"...but no, I've been here quite a few times, service always sucked.
Well this place seems likes it has good intentions but it didnt live up to par. Ive had way better sandwiches for cheaper and tasted way better. i payed 6.80 yes that much for a sandwich!!. The options seems slim and I felt like I was rushed into getting my sandwich. Will I go back again probably not. If you wanna go expect to overpay and be hungry
Review Source:A pretty rough presentation as you walk in the door. Every time, about 5 now, I have been there the person ringing orders has stared at me until I could decide what I wanted. Never have been greeted. And the workers there get irritated when newbies don't psychically know they have to walk down a narrow corridor to a pick-up window.
That aside, the sandwiches are always so good. As Bruce K. noted they are much better than Quizno's and Subway - albeit slower.
I'm partial to their ham and cheddar sandwich. The bread is soooo delish.
I found this to be a better option than the usual Quizno's/Subway and it kicks the butt off any fast food option McD's/BK/etc. My medium sandwich combo was enough for lunch and the price was right.
I went with the Albuquerque Turkey combo, which was a stack of sliced turkey and cheese with veggies on a round jalapeno cheese bun. Great flavor and nicely toasted. The chips were nothing special, their own brand of blackpepper potato chips.
They have the usual soda fountain plus a good selection of orange/cream/root beer from a brand I can't remember, plus a bunker of potato/macaroni salad and tossed salads. The soup looked good.
We came here at peak lunch time, so the parking was tight and we didn't have much choice of table. But if you are before or after the rush, the place is fine. Would I come here again? Yeah, I think so.
