If we could give this place 100 stars, we would. After a few days and a highly disappointing trip to Rhode Island, my bf and I hungrily stumbled into this wonderful place, located just .01 miles from our hotel!

The quaintness of the bar speaks volumes about ambience and atmosphere. The non corporate nature, is easily seem in both serivce and food. The fish dishes, though fried were fresh and remarkable. The salad- simple, but plentiful. The food was so good, that we went two days in a row for food and drink, in particular the Cape Cod Rueben.

Thanks to the staff of the place that made our trip that much more enjoyable. I'll be dreaming of your sandwhich back home in NY!

Side Note: Though I am not a chocolate person, my bf ordered their lavacake. IT TASTES AMAZING- and it is made IN HOUSE!

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The best cheeseburger I've ever had in my life. That's not hyperbole. Best... cheeseburger... ever. And that's really saying something. I'm no CB (cheeseburger) noob. I'm a fat 30 year old dude. I know my way around a cheeseburger. I probably average one cheeseburger a week since I was born. They offer a cheeseburger that comes with two different kinds of bacon. TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF BACONS UNDER THE SAME BUN! That's a mainstay menu item too not just some sick pork fetish I'm acting out. And they won't silently judge you while you eat it either. Nice staff over there. They got tons of beers too. Ooh... I almost forgot to mention. They do a brunch and serve bloody mary's in huge pitchers with a single straw. They ain't messing around fool.

Been there twice now, once for dinner (Best Corned Beef Sandwich in RI) and  brunch.  I was not disappointed.  I am not sure I can go with 5 stars at the moment, but this place will tempt you.

The beer prices are the best around, the food was surprisingly good.  I know, all of the prior reviews rave about the food, but it is usually after they rave about the booze (and we all know shoe leather gets good reviews after one too many pints... he said in a whispered voice).  But, in this case, it is great food, great service and great prices.

Be for warned about weekend brunch, the Bloody Marys and Mimosas are not for the faint of heart.  ;-)

Update: so made my third trip.  Still loving it.  Had the super hot burger which is the first I have had that actually brings the heat.  The wife had the Thanksgiving sandwich.  It too was fantastic.

Now, I must jump on my pet peeve, upcharging.  I hate, hate, hate it.   So is it there on the menu, sometimes.  But, it is the way things are delivered.  First, my burger was served dry.  I asked if they had spicy mayo.  The answer, yes.  It was good too.  But when the bill came out, there was an up charge.  The wife had closed the menu when she ordered.  When asked what she wanted for a side, he started to rattle off the sides.  She picked the sweetpotato tots.  Did not mention the upcharge.  So while it is small, it was a $60.00 bill with other orders and booze.  So this looks petty.  Anain, just my pet peeve.

Nothing to say that hasn't already been said, but I'll preach the choir - Shannon View Inn is top notch for a laid back pub experience with quality eats and a great beer selection. Which isn't at all surprising after learning that it's managed by the same great folk of Doherty's East Ave Irish Pub and Sullivan's Publick House!

Started off with a Sierra Nevada Tornado IPA - a deal at $5.50 for 7.2% alc content.  Realllly tough choice on the burgers - narrowed it down to the Irish (friend egg, aged cheddar, curry sauce) and the Hungry Goat (french fries, steak tips, white chipotle sauce).  At the recommendation of the bar tender, I chose the Hungry Goat.  A solid burger.  And the fries were super crispy!

The atmosphere is no frills. Small, cozy, mix of seating around the bar close to the TVs and high top and regular tables in the dining area.  Wood paneling.

Track 84 is usually my go-to for beer if I'm on an airport run, but the quality pub food makes Shannon View a top contender for my Warwick bar love.

Will be back.  Had a great experience.  And I read that there are sweet deals on burgers and beer on Tuesdays!!!

p.s. shout out to yelpers Jen H. and Rebecca H. for putting this on on my radar!

Let me preface this by saying the only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that the place is too small and can be uncomfortable with a lot of people .

Now to the good stuff. They have my favorite beers on tap. They do a great beer tasting menu (4 5oz pours!) for only 7 bucks. Hell yeah.

The best part is th food. Their brunch is phenomenal. Jalapeño corn bread is a must try.  Build your own burger is great tool I am from AZ and I love spicy (real spicy) and their habanero relish ie wayyyyyy spicy but amazing. You can even have a portabella mushroom cap as your burger.

My favorite thing is the curry fries. Simple but so flavorful. We eat them within 5 minutes of getting to our table.

All in all, we have been here on a weekend for brunch, weekend for dinner/drinks, and even a weeknight and it has always been delightful and fun if you want it to be. Definitely try this place out! They also often have groupons :)

Stopped in for lunch on a weekday with my hubby. Plenty of tables or bar space to choose from. This is a pub. Quaint and clean I immediately liked Shannon view inn.

We sat at a high table and was greeted by a delightful bar tender. We ordered the warm pretzel, corn beef & cabbage and the corn beef sandwich w/ sweet potato tots! The menu had plenty that caught my eye and I will try something different next time. The corn beef was excellent and so were the sweet tots!
It started to get busy towards the end of our lunch and I noticed that the bartender was the only one waiting tables and of course her patrons at the bar. It seemed a lot on her but she was good, really good! I liked the bar tender so much I introduced myself and thanked Dee for the fantastic lunch!

Get a burger here, they are great!  I had the Wicked Hot burger which has jalapeno bacon, pepper jack cheese, wicked pickles (fried pickle slices...yum), and a habanero pepper relish.  Make sure to ask for the relish on the side...trust me, you'll thank me later.  I ordered the burger Medium-Rare and the cook did a good job at meeting that request.  Often times restaurants err on the safe side of "rare" and over cook the meat.  So the burger really isn't that wicked hot without the habanero pepper relish.  I applied small portions of the relish per bite and that seemed to be the way to handle the intense temperature.  The relish was enough to clear my sinuses on each bite.  I'm a big pepper and hot sauce guy and the heat scale on the relish was very respectable.  I opted for onion rings on the side which were very good and beer to extinguish the flames.
Shannon View is nice, quaint pub with stables, booths, and bar stools.  A very intimate setting as the pub is small in size but definitely worth the stop.  I am looking for my next visit and my next burger!  I'm a fan.

Shannon View Inn, how do I love thee? Well, my little go-to brunch spot, let me revel in all the ways you make me want to lay down roots and brand myself a "townie." First, let's discuss the 32-ounce PITCHER of Bloody Mary's or mimosas that get planted on the table. For a Sunday morning sipper, I'll happily take it. The service is pleasant at worst, and brilliantly witty (Heather!!!) at best - depends who you get, but whatever happens, you're golden.

The food is stick-to-your-ribs pub fare, that is incredibly good. My favorite dish is the Mamacita: two eggs, served on a bed of chili and jalapeño cornbread. I splash it all with a few shakes of Tabasco sauce, and I achieve nirvana. Other standout dishes include the nachos and pancakes. I have it on good authority that they make a mean hash omelet. Wash it all down with an Irish coffee, if you haven't been rendered completely immobile by the aforementioned bloodies or mimosas.

Shannon View Inn also offers regulars a shot at 15 minutes of fame: join their beer club and, when you've finished 50 pints (the variety on offer is outstanding), you get your name engraved on a plaque on the wall. Classy! Finish 100, and you have the added distinction of getting a clever epigram of your choice, engraved on said plaque. This sounds like a job for Oscar Wilde, but since he's not with us anymore, I'm already dreaming of what mine will say.

Looking for a way fun night out on the cheap? Their BYOT - "Build Your Own Tuesday" nights - feature a burger and four beers for $12. What? Yes. YES.

I live in fear of the day when my constitution can no longer handle the gut busting goodness that is the hallmark of Shannon View Inn. Until then, I will enjoy the occasional trip down the road where, in the shadow of the planes landing over TF Green Airport, I'll dig into one outlandishly awesome meal, with no regrets.

Stopped in a week or so ago with the hubby and a friend.  Ordered a burger, feeling creative i made my own.

a medium rare burger with aged cheddar, bbq sauce, mushrooms and on their pretzel bun. First time i have ever received my burger cooked the way i like it, so juicy and just the right amount of pink.  The pretzel bun was out of this world. Normally i can never finish a burger, but let me tell you i made my way to the last couple bites of this one.

instead of fries i got a side of mashed potatoes with their gravy.  again another home run here - good to the last bite!

i don't need to write about the beer - its amazing!

Yumm-O!   The burgers are amazing here.   The options for toppings are amazing, but what is better then the toppings are the turkey burgers.  The burger was moist and flavorful.   I am not sure what spices they use, but it truly was the best burger in town.
Burger aside, the beer on tap is great and the choices for side dishes and appetizers are unique.   If you are looking for a good pub to grab a bite to eat with friends you have found the right spot.

Having been in town only a couple of hours, my husband and I were looking for something casual to have a simple dinner and a good beer.  I had the Shepherd's Pie which was great, and the serving size more than I was able to eat in two meals.  The service was friendly and fast.  We probably will not have time to go again before we leave, which is too bad.  The Reuben sounds fantastic.

Jack Doherty does it again!  I'm a pretty huge fan of Doherty's, and Sullivan's Publick House has recently become another favorite local watering hole for us, and all of that goodness has carried over to this newest location!  Although the name is a bit confusing, as it's not actually an inn (at least I don't think it is), and although the beer variety is not as enormous as it is at Doherty's, this is still a great place with great food and great beer!

Try the pretzels; The dipping sauce is to die for!  The chili was also fantastic!

When my fiancee suggested a trip for brunch over by the airport, I thought she'd lost it. But this place is a great find! I'm always on the lookout for great Irish pubs, especially those that do breakfast! The Shannon View Inn not only does a great Sunday Brunch, but they have a beer club with prizes, and Wednesday night trivia. I'll definitely be back!

Went there on Thursday night, place was very nice, the 3 tending to the bar were very informative and helpful. The service and food were great. if you are into many different types of beer, this is the place for you. I travel most weeks and this is now one of my favorite places to go to and relax

Really great friendly service from Heather!

I had a grilled chicken burger with their signature wicked pickles (fried pickles). It was awesome!  The rolls were great too.  Above average quality in every bite!

Thank you for a great meal Shannon View!

Went there this past weekend, arrived early about 530pm on Sat.
We were warmly greeted and told about several of the "custom" beers & ales.
I had a banana bread stout which I thought to be very different & good..I would do it again.
We had Irish egg rolls & fried pickles to start ( Large portions) A OK.  We took the rest of the Pickles home , and ate them cold the next day ( I thought they were even better cold)   Wife had the Shepard's Pie ..she liked it ..I had the giant Turkey sandwich
Homemade mashed potatoes  ..Both were great...
The placed filled up soon after we got there...Huge bar crowd..NOT a biker bar.
Overall a very pleasant experience.. a nice low key , good food  Happy place.

We will venture back for the Brunch...

Our family of four just visited the Shannon View on a Sunday morning for brunch based on all the positive reviews. Between the four of us, we had the Carpenter's omelette, a cup of chowder, the monte cristo, and the trinity eggs benedict. My son had the omlette which ended up being a huge portion that he made most of his way through and my daughter; not feeling too well, had the chowder. My wife had the eggs benedict and was disappointed, only eating half of the order. I didnt try them, but she said the eggs were over done and english muffin 'was like a brick'. I had the monte cristo which I have to admit, I was pretty happy with. The meals all came with a side of potatos which were grayish/brown, limp, and heavily peppered... I really wast a fan of them.

I may come back another time for dinner and beer one night as it seems like a nice small feel bar as well - but as for breakfast, we will be trying other places around before coming back.

Right across the street from the airport, Shannon View Inn is a beautiful pub with a great selection of beers on tap and a fine menu. I ate at the bar with my brother where the bartender was very friendly and attentive (there were three servers that night and they kept everyone at the tables and the bar satisfied), and I felt like I could have stayed there all night (yes, that was the booze talkin'). Aside from a number of different beers, I enjoyed both the buffalo wings and my cheeseburger with bacon, a fried egg, and a side of buffalo chips (do yourself a favor, get...the...buffalo...chips).

After my meal my brother and I didn't know if we wanted another full beer so we asked the bartender for one beer that we were going to split ourselves and she split it for us in two glasses, really nice. We were about to go when the bartender asked if we wanted another beer to split and we should have said no but...ahh what the heck, ok. After drinking copious amounts of water we were on our way.

Getting a beer flight (four 5oz glasses of beer for $7) is a great way to try out their beers. I also found that the more I drank, the more I fantasized about walking across the street to the airport and taking off for a destination unknown. Ahh, thanks for the fantasies Shannon View Inn.

So far, the BEST Brunch menu I've had in Rhode Island. Ever. Went there on a deal coupon for 4.  Been back twice since. The servings are generous, the signature Brunch cocktails Mimosa and Bloody Mary are served in big mugs and are not watered down.

I found out this place is under new management; hence, the promotion. Well, it is worth visiting. While the layout of the place yells Irish pub at night, there were enough dining tables for the big Brunch crowd. I see on their website that they are related to another good Irish Pub-cum-Brunch spot, Doherty's in Pawtucket.

What's so different? Their menu -- presentation, serving portion and taste!  Great choices named creatively and intriguingly -- from signature favorites (there's "The Usual Suspects"), Eggs Benedict ("Emma Dilemma"), to their side dishes including White Bean Tempeh sausage that was delicious and good enough for vegans and meat sausage lovers.

My only concern is their listed phone no. when googled on the Internet, is wrong. So is the no. the Inn itself.  They should be concerned about not being reached or found especially with what they have to offer.  Last I checked, I'm still getting wrong nos.

I plan to keep coming back to this place. It is worth it and so close to my home, too. Lucky me.

I flew out of Green Airport July 8, 2012 and was looking for a place to get a lunch.  My friends who were driving me suggested The Shannon View Inn.  Great choice.
I found the premises clean, the personel friendly and the Rueben sandwich out of this world.  It was the best I'd had for years.
    Great place.

For folks who may have known the Shannon View before the new management took over, this place is nothing like it.  We drove BY it because it looked so different.  Totally cleaned up with a dark green exterior and black canvas awnings. Classy interior with varnished wood - well - the varnished wood is everywhere.  Perfect Irish pub decor.

I fancy myself to be an expert on eggs Benedict.  An aficionado , if you will.  I can whip up a mean hollandaise in my humble kitchen and feel that there is no excuse why any restaurant couldn't create one that is at least above average.

I tasted an Eggs Benedict here today that was absolutely, without question, AMAZING. I ordered the Trinity which is basically your classic Canadian bacon on an English with the egg and hollandaise goodness.  The English muffin was perfectly toasted with crispy, nearly burnt edges (which I love!).  The egg was prepared "loose" as requested so that that when my knife touched the perfectly poached egg, the yolk cascaded out on the plate with the hollandaise flowing like a gentle river alongside it.  Seriously...if I could cue some classical music to accompany this description I would (Maybe Vivaldi "Spring"...).  I digress.

The buck didn't stop here, folks.  All four of us had meals that hit it out of the park - the jam-packed, tasty toasted Reuben, the open-faced Carpenter omelet and the pick-two eggs were done as requested with a generous side of well-done corned beef hash.  Real deal corned beef hash that was more corned beef than anything else. All the food came out piping hot - such a winner with me.

Drinks - Homemade Bloody Mary in my own personal mini-pitcher made my heart soar with every sip of the spicy, horseradish love put into this homemade mix.  Mimosas - solid.  And the beer choices? Many...many...many delightful craft and micro brews. They also have the Bud and Bud Light if that's your thing.

Service was peachy.  He was super patient.  Too bad I don't know his name, but everyone there was really friendly and eager to please.

Three out of four of us joined their beer club that features fabulous prizes for just drinking, you guessed it, beer. Every one of the beers they offer in fact.  We are in it to win it.

Trivia night on Mondays...some other beer flight thing-y special soon to be announced.

Love.  Love. Love.  All we need is love...and the new and improved Shannon View up the street.  Yay.

Four of us went for Sunday Brunch 5/20 and boy this place did not disappoint.  The food was fabulous and as another reviewer noted, off the grid a bit.  We all ordered different items and were all pleased with our choices.  Their offerings for omelet toppings were so novel and unexpected. as was the wide range of entree choices.  We will be back, groupon or not.  This place deserves to make it.  Fabulous!

I went here tonight and here's the scoop...  The owners of Doherty's East Ave Cafe own this place.  The menu has the core basics that D's has to offer, apps, burgers, and some entrees.  I'm not exactly sure of the intent of this place, but if you are thinking that it is a clone of Doherty's you would be wrong.  The bar is approximately 800-900 sq ft, small in comparison.  They offer about 26+ beers, most are draft, so no 82 here people.   They took one of the managers, Brian and made him GM.  He's a pretty nice guy, but kinda lacks flair, but whatever. Anyway,  I ordered a personal fav, the Pulled pork sandwich with buffalo French fries.   Supposedly, this recipe won awards and whatnot, but I can tell you, it was just as consistent as its cousin!  The buffalo fries were fried perfectly and accompanied with blue cheese, and I married the whole order with a Loose Cannon IPA.   I wish I could tell you how good the sandwich was, but I ate it so fast, my mind didn't have time to process and save it.  As for the buffalo fries, they were excellent!

The only thing I felt needed help was the bartender.  Brian was decent, but the other kid they got working the bar.... He lacks personality and charisma, and that's what being a bartender is all about.  Nobody cares about the crappy drink you poured, but if you can put on a smile and a good show, you are alright and this kid just doesn't make the cut.  Hire someone else that fills this position to what I'm getting at and this place will be a landmark!

When this place takes off, which it will (competition beware!), they already have plans to expand the building.

Finally, please note, that the prices are between $.50 and $1.00 more than Doherty's prices.

I just want to say how much I enjoyed my experience here. We used a groupon here on Sunday, and this has officially become my new Sunday brunch place to go.

The one thing that I enjoyed the most is the different menu they offer. It wasn't just a mix of "2 eggs, 2 pancakes and breakfast meat" it was original, slightly off the grid subtle changes to traditional breakfast food (they did also have a good mix of the regular go to breakfast menu if you're looking for that). For example, they serve a jalapeno corn bread that I ordered more to bring home with me because it was such a great combo of flavors put together.

These guys are under new management, and I honestly hope they make it..because they totally deserve it.

Great food, great service and a great atmosphere.

This was were I spent most of my time in college.  A little know place that looks more like a Inn (they don't actually have lodging here) and less like an Irish pub from the outside.  It isn't until you walk INSIDE where you are taken to another place reminiscing of neighbourhoodly pubs on the Emerald Isle.  Go a few times (a week!) and you will get to know everyone there.  You also must try the corned beef sandwich with rye bread and mustard of course, and remember to slather on the vinegar!  Dave the bartender pours the perfect pints of Guinness and they also have a piano man on weekends.
