I've given up on the service here. It has only gotten worse over the time. It's not so much unfriendly as it's just not friendly. Or efficient. Or done with a smile. Or a thank you. And the prices are too high now. And there aren't enough TVs.
Guinness is legit though. Bar selection is still good. Tap selection is still decent. Wine selection is still poor. The menu is pretty big, though, and a lot of people seem to scarf down the food. I just have never been too impressed with it. It fills you up, and has decent flavor, but that's about it.
If you're looking for authentic pub food yet aren't planning a trip to Ireland anytime soon, Shannon's is a great place for a relatively inexpensive, high quality meal. From the fish & chips, to Mary Murphy's sandwich, to the grilled salmon, corned beef and cabbage, chicken and avocado sandwich, the key lime pie and carrot cake -you're going to be happy! Never had anything on the menu that wasn't up to par.
