Cab's Wine Bar Bistro

Was here just this past Thursday to see the Twangtown Paramours perform...which is always a good show!  Cab's does book great music!  I loved the cream of asparagus soup!  The bread seemed to be better than previous visits and we gobbled up the new bruschetta type side that accompanied the bread, so much so that we didn't have an appetite for the entrees we had in mind!  We also filled up on cocktails!  Our server, Emily, was adorable and on point all night...even though we didn't end up eating anything after the bowl of soup, I wasn't between cocktails for too long.  Thanks Emily!  And thanks to Chef Luis and his Wife Lisa, the atmosphere at Cab's is relaxing and inviting and the food is still great.  I will eat less bread and more real food on my next visit.  ;)

The tuna tartar is what keeps drawing me back. I usually just make a meal from a few of their fantastic appetizers. Was disappointed with the seafood soup on my last visit. The menu claimed it to have shrimp & calamari yet there was neither. Maybe I just got bad ladleful.

Excellent food! Ordered beer battered calimari to start. They serve with mashed potatoes. Kinda confused me at first, but it was the best calimari I've ever had. I had the paella as an entree. Everything was really good, but the chicken was just unseasoned, grilled chicken. Fiancee got pork tenderloin, which was a touch dry. Extensive wine selection. Building is a little drafty, but it's in an older building, so I don't fault them for it. Great atmosphere, great service. It is pricey, but with it. Will go back.
