We were overcharged. Apparently on drinks with obscure names which I'm sure we did not order. The bartender hit on my friend, and little pink drinks appeared without being ordered, as a 'gift'. You do not charge patrons for these items in the serverland manual, I've heard. Â
The HH is convenient and cheap, but only when you're not randomly charged with nameless items that a barkeep gifts your party as an attempt get into your knickers.
On another note, the sliders were delectable.
Went with my husband and friend a while back. But the experience left me with some unfinished business.
We sat down, ordered some food before the kitchen closed. My husband was ordering drinks and shots. The bartender didn't seem to mind. We were giving him really good business and intended to tip well.
All of a sudden he begins to ignore us and our drink orders. I was the driver because I didn't drink anything. Then he got annoyed at us because we were annoyed he kept skipping our drink orders.
Then the rude bartender just said he wasn't going to give us anymore. We paid and left. This bar needs to quit being so racist. He clearly wasn't giving any problems to the other people who were ordering drinks right next to us.
Well, I can say the drinks are fairly cheap. Â The food is eeeeee, the customer service is good though. Â I came here with a friend to meet two of her friends, and I can say that the atmosphere is great. Â The sad thing though about this place was that their water was GROSS, and I probably had one of the worst bloody mary doubles I have ever had. Â Bloody Mary's are my drink of choice for anyone who knows me well. Â So when I taste a band BM it gives me a sour outlook on the actualy venue. Â I may be back, but probably only if I'm asked to come back. Â Let's see what happens in round two and if they get a bloody mary done correctly.
Review Source:Okay guys...this is NOT a happenin' hip sort of place. Â BUT...if you are looking for a pretty sweet happy hour ($3 drafts..and they have a good selection..I"m talking Manny's, Mac & Jacks, Stella, as well as $3 wells) - this place is pretty darn good. Â If you just want to meet up with a more low key group and actually be able to sit, hear each other talk, and maybe watch a few games...then this is a great place. Â Parking is easy since it's part of a strip mall.
The happy hour food (half off) is typical bar fare - nachos, chicken wings, fries, etc. Â It's nothing spectacular, but it's cheap and the portions are HUUUUGE. Â
Again, not a get dressed up for ladie's night kind of place...but it's not trying to be either. Â Go here with work colleagues or for when you don't want to fight the pretentious crowds at the DT Bellevue spots.
I went here last weekend. I'm 25 years old. I was kicked out because my ID is vertical. The waitress told me that they don't accept those ID's because "they're the easiest to fake". She also told me that all over the state places weren't accepting vertical IDs. I found that very odd and tried looking the info up on my phone. Shocking!!! I found nothing about this little "fact".
I will never go back again and give them any of my business. What's funny is that after I was kicked out, I went to 2 other bars where my vertical ID was accepted!!! Guess this waitress had no idea what she was talking about....
This is a typical small sports bar. Â The best redeeming factor is the outdoor bar on top! Â When it's sunny out, this is place to be! Â The view is only a parking lot, but it has great seating and a great bar upstairs. Â The food just looked so-so. Â Service was 1 server for the upstairs. Â They had about 4 beers on tap upstairs. Â A ghetto bathroom, but that's to be expected at a sportsbar. Â I'll definitely be back when it's sunny again here in Bellevue!
Review Source:I only come here because of the convenient location to work. This place is your typical strip mall sports bar. There is nothing special about the service or the food. They open the roof in the summer, which is can be kind of fun, but unfortunately that unique feature is only available during the 30 days of sunshine we get around here.
Pros:
Location
Roof-top seating in the summer
Tons of TVs
Cons:
Steelers Bar
Happy Hour is pretty weak
Plastic darts
I don't know how they do it but this little strip mall bar has always had the feel of a pick-up bar. LOL! I lived near it for 15yrs. Every time I went there, the crowd always had the feel of being on the make.
I moved this year and don't know if there have been changes but Steve & DC/DZ... Are both great bartenders! The food is good. There is a big screen tv for sports.
The pool tables are so-so. They aren't bad but... Our team always had problems with the pockets. Balls that should drop didn't. We had to play more of a finesse game there. It was frustrating. :( But I always liked going there.
The only reason I didn't go more often is because it is the most expensive pub we went to. Food is ok but drinks are more expensive than any place else we went.
Great little sportsbar hidden in a shopping center in Factoria. Â There are plenty of screens all around for watching sports and the bartender will switch the channel if you ask. Â We came in to watch some playoff hockey and he kindly obliged. Â
They seem to have a lot of different beers on tap so you've got a good variety. Â The happy hour specials weren't great but they did have a $5 pizza that did the trick (although I'm pretty sure it was just a frozen personal pizza).
They have some pool tables that looked pretty nice but we didn't play while we were there. Â It would have distracted us from the drinking and on ice violence!
Overall, good brews, good tunes, good service. Â As Arnold would say, I'll be back...
There are 5 things a sportsbar needs to be a good sportsbar.
1. A non plastic, non panzy-ass dart board
2. A working restroom
3. A few working pooltables with good cues
4. Mac and Jacks's on tap
5. A ton of sports going on at once on mutiple televisions.
A two out five I believe earns you 2 stars. SImple math for an almost obsurdly simple sportsbar and a d***of a bartender. No offense fella.
Sidelines is quite possibly the definition of mediocrity. Â While they often have good events, and are near and dear to my heart for hosting the Gator Club (gotta love UF!!), their food is pretty much run-of-the-mill bar food. Â I had the hot wings and their "08 Burger" last night and was neither repulsed nor impressed with either. Â The wings had a spicy sauce on them but lets face it, when I order hot wings I think cayanne pepper sauce otherwise i would order "spice and tangy" wings or something else more creative. Â The burger was so well done it was saharaesque but the "imported chiles" (think canned) kept it edible. Â I will come back here for the Gator Club, but that is pretty much its saving grace. Â I did notice a pretty cool crowd, and the atmosphere is what made it 3-Star and not 2-Star, but I would recommend you eat before you come. Â The drinks were pretty cheap which is always a bonus.
Review Source:We went here for the UFC fight.
They charged $10 per person to get in, and had it showing on TVs all around the room. Â They also had adequate seating. Â I don't think there was a "bad" spot to sit in the place.
The service was really excellent. Â Even though they only had 3 waitresses working the entire place, we were attended to very well. Â My water kept refilling itself magically, and we were asked if we wanted more beer several times. Â
We ordered some food too. Â The Jalepeno poppers ($7.50) were really really good, and did not seem to be a frozen kind. Â The chicken strips were also pretty good. Â The food was very reasonably priced. Â Their happy hour (which we missed - booooo), seemed like it had some cheap food too.
Overall the atmosphere was good - I would go back for another UFC or TV sporting event. Â
Key Points:
Staff: very attentive, fast
Food: Â deep fried deliciousness, reasonably priced.
Drinks: good beer!
Atmosphere: sporty / open / laid back
Great for: Â watching a game on the big screen with buds
Just had lunch here, they started serving BBQ sandwiches for lunch on Monday 2/2. Â Pretty good, I had the pulled pork BBQ sandwich and comes with one side (coleslaw, potato salad, bbq beans) for $7.50. Â I elected for the spicy BBQ sauce, which didn't have much heat, but enough for a slight kick in the after-taste. Â Served on an Onion hamburger bun, and the pulled pork was decent.
They're still getting their timing down, but was served pretty quickly, and I'd go here again for lunch. Â It sure beats Subway and their processed meat. Â Definitely good lunch eats, I'll be back for lunch, and drinks after work.
big big place but kinda dark and always so busy!!
perhaps because this bar is only minutes away from t-mobile's corporate offices is why sidelines is indeed a busy place...
i will say though that i've been twice now and both times had the same gal as our server and both times has she been really on top of it and always made sure the drinks were flowin... kudos to you miss server lady!! :)
definitely a place to go to watch the game, or games, or everything else and the games!! :)
If you're a Steelers fan in Seattle, this is your place. Â A group of local black-and-gold loyalists has been coming here for years, and this was the unanimous verdict when I asked around for a good place to root for the team that won Super Bowl XL (well, by most accounts).
There's not much to say about this bar otherwise. Â It is not at all a Steelers-exclusive bar. Â Early in the 2006 season, the bar was split in half: the Steelers fans watched CBS on the far side of the room, and the Seahawks fans watched their games on the near side of the room. Â Seattle being as passive-aggressive as it is, there isn't very much real animosity between the two groups of fans. Â Other decorations on the wall suggest a mishmash of allegiances for collegiate sports, including both the Florida Gators and the UW Huskies.
The only reason I would come here is for a Steelers Sunday, sipping diner-grade coffee while watching the opening kickoff. Â (You coffee snobs can stop by the Starbucks next door; the staff doesn't mind outside drinks.) Â Aside from the coffee I wouldn't recommend any of the food items here. Â Fried foods are often overly greasy and undercooked. Â If you order the chicken tenders, a bargain at $7 with fries, cut one open before you eat any of them. Â I just shuddered to think what biting into undercooked chicken tastes like. Â Though I never indulged in it, their breakfast special is a popular pick on Sunday mornings.
The TVs here all get NFL Sunday Ticket so you won't miss a game. Â I was surprised to see a sports bar without even one high definition set. Â The projectors work well enough, and the big screen makes for a convenient target to throw Terrible Towels in response to a bad call.
I won't be back until September, and unless you really want to give your digestive system a workout, I'd suggest that you wait as well.
If you like bars and watching sports, wouldn't you just be tickled pink to find them mashed up into one great relationship? Well, dear fan of booze and sports, let me introduce you to Sideline. If you're in the Bellevue/Factoria area, here ya go, located in the Lohmann's Plaza.
This place have the deep fried foods your arteries fear but your taste buds love. Decent selection of beers and liquor. A plethora (Jeffe, do you know what a plethora is?) of TVs at every direction, size, and angle to keep you from straining to view your game. Pool tables, dart boards, juke box, waitresses in tight clothes and a couple of arcade games. Redhook ESB happy hour: $3.00 a pint. Dandy!
"Here we go Steelers, here we go!" That's what you'll hear every Sunday at Sidelines. This place is the local hangout for the Steelers fan club (of which, I am a card carrying member).
As sports bars go, this one isn't that great. The televisions are not the clearest, nor are they located in the best spots. However, they do have very friendly wait staff  -- all of whom have become Steelers fans, but the food is as terrible as the towels we wave. The best thing to do is to get a coffee from Starbucks next store and bring it over for the game. Then order something benign like nachos, which they can't really mess up. If you must eat food, get the 5 Alarm burger which is probably the best thing on the menu.
The drinks are solid, though during Steelers games you might need to flag down the waitress because she is usually super busy.
Wi-Fi? Who cares, I go there to watch football not surf the net. It's fun to hang with other East Coasters. If your a football fan, and you like talking football with other true fans, go here.
