Oh, the Goose, what a wonderfully misplaced little bar you are (sandwiched right in between a couple of luxury car dealerships)! When I was living on the Eastside, there was a stretch of about a year that you could find the BF, a couple friends, and me at the Goose at LEAST once a week. Sadly those days are gone since living in Seattle has made it a bit of a trek to visit the Goose. We would go for the fantastic tater tots, tiny crispy fried wings, and fried mac and cheese. Occasionally someone would order a burger or sandwich, but otherwise we had the above trifecta virtually every time we were there. Couple that with some pitchers of cheap beer and call it a fun night! It doesn't matter what time you're there...midday, evening, or latenight. The mood is the same and so is the crowd.
Speaking of the crowd... it's interesting because you generally have a group of guys in suits who came from work, mixed with some biker-looking folks and then some young hipster-ish (it's Bellevue, afterall) types here and there. I don't know if Jamie still works there, but she was always so nice and patient with our rowdy group, and we grew to really like her.
I sure do miss the Goose. It's a nice change of pace from all the wanna-be uppity places in and around Bellevue Square. If you're looking for a dive in Bellevue, look no further than the Goose!
