We still love this place and the staff is so awesome. Good affordable food and drinks. We still visit despite moving to Seattle because it is a family favorite.

This is actually the first time I've had to throw a plate of food away for being uneatible.  Pink in the middle chicken breast sandwich - uggggh.

Oh, the Goose, what a wonderfully misplaced little bar you are (sandwiched right in between a couple of luxury car dealerships)! When I was living on the Eastside, there was a stretch of about a year that you could find the BF, a couple friends, and me at the Goose at LEAST once a week. Sadly those days are gone since living in Seattle has made it a bit of a trek to visit the Goose. We would go for the fantastic tater tots, tiny crispy fried wings, and fried mac and cheese. Occasionally someone would order a burger or sandwich, but otherwise we had the above trifecta virtually every time we were there. Couple that with some pitchers of cheap beer and call it a fun night! It doesn't matter what time you're there...midday, evening, or latenight. The mood is the same and so is the crowd.

Speaking of the crowd... it's interesting because you generally have a group of guys in suits who came from work, mixed with some biker-looking folks and then some young hipster-ish (it's Bellevue, afterall) types here and there. I don't know if Jamie still works there, but she was always so nice and patient with our rowdy group, and we grew to really like her.

I sure do miss the Goose. It's a nice change of pace from all the wanna-be uppity places in and around Bellevue Square. If you're looking for a dive in Bellevue, look no further than the Goose!

Went here with some of my co workers near my new location in fancy bellevue. This is a nice dive bar, large open floor plan with plenty of tables and pool tables as well. My buddy warned me not to get a burger says it will make you sick so of course I ordered a burger and I got really sick. oh well, it still tasty good, and the wait staff was friendly and very attentive. Prices were average and overall a pretty good time. Likely will be back after a long work week Im sure.

Great little dive bar in Bellevue.  Haven't been to a dive like this since my college days, definitely brings back memories.  Nonetheless, great selection on tap, prompt service and no pretentious attitudes like many other places in Bellevue.  Definitely a place to let your hair down and relax after a long week.

The burgers are great!!  As good as burgers get.  For $7, you get a really decent size burger with side of fries (or salad or soup).  Definitely fills you up. The husband loves their wings, crispy outside, tender inside, can't really ask for more.  Will be back.

Cool place, just came to have a couple of drinks and I got hooked on the pull tabs.

    Awesome dive.

Quick and generous bartenders, who don't give me dirty looks for being picky about which pull-tabs I want.  And then coming back for more pull-tabs.  And coming back again for pull-tabs.  Why doesn't every bar have pull tabs??

Tons of seating, easy parking, darts, decent bathrooms, and most importantly .. PULL-TABS!   :)

This is a great little dive bar that's conveniently halfway from home on my daily commute from work. Sometimes the traffic is so bad it drives me to drink!

I like to meet up with an old friend of mine here and have a couple drinks, shoot the shit and usually play a round of Big Game Hunter while the traffic dies down a little.

The beer selection here is pretty diverse and they have my favorite, Mac and Jack's so it works out well for me. They also have a good selection of bar food. I've had the mozzarella sticks, the mini tacos (my favorite) and the bacon burger which was pretty good and very reasonably priced!

It's a great little, and I mean little, dive bar with good greasy food and fair prices. I'll be back again soon I'm sure to wet my whistle, catch up with an old friend and avoid the brunt of the hell that is rush hour traffic.

The "Goose" - like Madonna, Slash, Obama, some things can be described in one word.

This place is a speakeasy door into some excellent pub food and a beer selection I can live with. Certainly a meeting place, popular with those who know. I fall in love with the servers every time I go to this place - fortunately for me they could care less, they're in it to win it, so make sure to tip them liberally - they deserve it.

Parking is pretty easy if you get there early, but once the lot fills up you're going to have a walk to and from the place. It's dark, not too dark, and once the juke box kicks in you may find it hard to hear yourself talk, but whatd'ya expect, it's a dive bar!

If you see me here I'll be with friends - never mind, the lights are low enough that you won't see me :)

Oh, and ladies, the bathrooms are Kuh-Lean.

    =;^)

A little hole in the wall strip mall bar in Bellevue across from the Lake Bellevue Crab Pot.  Typical divey bar with pull tabs, pool, and TV's.  Several sad looking business type men around and a group of drunk co-workers laughing and sharing a pitcher over pool. My husband and I came here for some beer and burgers and the burgers were great. They have a surprisingly extensive menu to select from and they have burger with a fried egg on it. If you're going to do something you might as well do it right, no?

Summary: It is hard to find good dive bars on the Eastside.  Fortunately, there is the Goose, conveniently located in a run down strip plaza with a porn shop and massage parlor.  Only the classiest places have pull tabs, and the Goose oozes class!  The wings are oustanding - crispy outside, meat falls off the bone tender.  The rest of the food is standard pub fare.  The service is efficient and friendly with a bit of attitude.  And there are colorful clientele.
Pros:  Wings, beer, tater tots, reasonable prices, good for groups
Cons: None if you are looking for a dive bar in yuppieland Bellevue

I only ever go here for late night drinks - midnight or later. And it's PERFECT for that kind of outing. Please, when you read this review keep in mind that it's usually not the first bar I've been to in any given outing.

The ambiance suits anyone and everyone, the bartenders are really nice with a flash of attitude, and there's entertainment ranging from darts to pool to the occasional karaoke night. If you want a place to close out your weekend, head to the Goose before you fall into bed. HONK!

This is a great lunch spot.  We stop in a couple times a month for lunch.  I recommend the jalapeno burger.  It's not too spicy and great with tater tots.

Most Fridays they have a great prime rib special.

This is a dive bar with a really good value for food great.  Don't come here if you are looking for a fancy atmosphere.

Fried Mac n cheese. Beer. That's all I need...but darts, pool, and big buck hunter can't hurt either. The goose is the perfect low-key hangout spot in Bellevue. More often than should be the case they are "out" of fried Mac n cheese, those are sad nights.

It's a dive... with good food for lunch!!

I had the Friday special, prime rib, with mashers/gravy and choice of salad or soup ($11.95).  It was a full meal.  A fat 1 1/2" slab of the prime rib (5cm for you commies).  Was it cooked perfectly? No, but it was still damned tasty and for the price you can't beat it.  It came with some great horseradish (perfect blend of bite and creaminess).

I'll be coming back, for sure.

We went here about two months ago after having an intense craving for pub food and not really wanting to spend a lot.

The location is a hard to find, miss it in the blink of an eye strip mall. Upon entering the establishment, our first impression was total dive bar, but lots of room. It was quiet enough that we could enjoy a great conversation over dinner.

The drinks were served quickly and had a good selection on tap.

Food was to be as expected, greasy, served quickly and just what we wanted at a great price. The waitress bet out drinks that we couldn't finish all the food we ordered, sure enough we couldn't. The staff was friendly and attentive.

We ended our night playing free pool, and playing video shooting games, darts and dancing ridiculously praying nobody watched.

Great dive bar, we look forward to going back the next time we visit.

Its a dive bar, remember that....good service,  nice people...just don't expect anything beyond a dive bar. From the outside, its a place that would scare you. Once the 5 o'clock crowed hits, local bar flys change to some office blokes

And I thought the Mustard Seed Too was divey... But now The Goose wins for diviest bar I've ever been to award and I LOVE IT!. And by the looks of it not many Yelpers know about it since the last Yelp review was 3 months ago, and prior that was August '09....

Yup, the location doesn't get much better than this! Nestled right next to Barrier Porsche, a hair salon, a smut shop, & across the street from the Crab Pot.

Decent drinks, good looking taco's ($1 each- I had 3 and was stuffed), HUGE order of tater tots- even better the next day, ok boneless wings.

OK place to watch & talk sports with the guys. Not much in the eye candy department, although one of the tarbenders (hiccup) has big boobs but keeps them mostly under wraps. TV screens are too small IMO, & often neglected because when one game finished, no one had noticed that Oprah was on.

the patrons are talkative and talk to you as if you were a regular. the service is always decent and the drinks are cheap....They have pool, darts, golden tee and buck hunter. food is good too if you are craving the greasy variety.

    thumbs up!

Living in Bvue for so many years, I never had any idea this bar existed. I hardly ever drive the road out front, but even then, never noticed this little dive bar tucked away next to Barrier Porsche. Granted, dive bars aren't really my thing, but I've still had a drink at quite a few over the years, albeit mostly in Seattle.

This place is a true dive bar, through and through. Nothing fancy on the menu, just the usual deep fried artery clogging food. Add the obligatory pool tables, electronic darts, dark and dingy atmosphere, and you have yourself a genuine dive bar right on the outskirts of dtown Bvue. Glad I was finally introduced to this place just this summer. I'll be back eventually, I'm sure of it.

Was there last night with a couple of co-workers. Yep, it's still a dive bar! (I don't think it could hold a candle to the dive yelped in the ID, though-I think it's upscale compared to that-no 5 minute time-out rule for fighting)

The seasoned drinking veterans were once again there, the after work people were there, and it's still one of the most 'un-bellevue bars' in bellevue, aside from the mustard seed.

Cheap beer, cheap food, cheap hookers - jk!

This is place is all right.  You can tell that it never left the 80's but that's ok, pool tables are elbow room, tv's are blurry but have sports, darts available.

Patrons are very friendly.  When I first moved to the Seattle area, they welcomed me like I belong.  True definition of a dive bar.

Now all we need is a fight to round things off.

ps.  Buffalo wings come with sauce on the side...  had to get used to this but was quite tasty!

Hailing from small town Idaho, I know dive bars, real dive bars.  Most of the so called dive bars around here couldn't compete with the likes of the Slurp N Burp back home.  However, The Goose comes pretty close.

    Creepy, old men?  Check.

Chills and/or nausea when you think of using the restroom?  Check.

Bartenders who know their customers?  Check.

    Delicious burgers?  Check.

Dive bar meets strip mall in Bellevue - across the way from the Crabpot - if you blink - you may miss it!!

This was on our schedule for after work drinks when I worked at a horrendous dealership on Bellevue's Auto Row!!

You can play pool, darts, pull tabs and other arcade games - but the place is much less than fancy!

I've had a few too many here before - after I told the bartender how to make a Cosmo, she did a pretty good job!

If you leave and your feeling a little tipsy - go next door to the Porn shop and giggle at the movie titles!
