We used to be huge fans of The Pumphouse Bar & Grill and frequented often, but we won't be going again. Â We arrived at 11:15 on a Monday and there were only 3 tables with customers at them. Â When the waitress sat us at a tiny table, we asked to move to a slightly bigger booth where we could be more comfortable. Â Her response was "No. Â We might get busy later." Â She offered no other explanation and was so abrupt and rude about it, plus the fact that there was no one in the restaurant, we felt it was completely unacceptable and got up and walked out. Â With hundreds of great restaurants in the area, there was no problem getting a great seat and excellent service elsewhere. Â With as often as we eat out (2-3 times a week), The Pumphouse Bar & Grill missed an opportunity.
Review Source:A friend and I were in town for a conference and were looking for a bar with some decent selections of local beer and veg-friendly food. The place doesn't look like much but we were happy with the food, beers, and very attentive and friendly service. My friend couldn't decide on a couple of beers and the server was happy to bring out a couple of tastes to help her decide. My friend's boca burger was massive and my veggie sandwich was quite good. Both came with fries that were pretty standard pub fare. It also seemed like there were many locals coming through the doors, usually a good sign.
