I have been going here for the last 3 years and I have never been disapointed with anything. I have had the gyros plate, sandwhich, greek salad, village salad, chicken kabob, steak kabob, rice, potatoes, spinach pie, carrot cake, baklava. You can order online for local delivery. The portions are huge, the seasonings perfect, and the price is great for the amount of food you get. I develop recipes and have a recipe blog and years ago did catering so I know great food when I have it.
Review Source:We have been here several times and it is always so delicious! We order the chicken kabob dinner, the beef kabob dinner and there is so much food, we have plenty left over. We share kabobs so we have the best of both worlds. Great menu with various choices. And its made to order in front of you. I would add Simply Kabobs to your Bookmarks/To Do List. You and your wallet will like it.
Review Source:This place is SOOOO good. Â My parents had talked about it a lot and it took me a month to even walk into the place. Â I am really picky so I have my favorite places and don't try new places often. Â I went back every day for 4 days. Â Then again for my dads birthday dinner. Â We introduced a few new people and they are hooked now too! Â The seasonings are perfect and the portions are more than one person should eat at one sitting and the prices are more than fair!
Review Source:My wife and I visited Kabobs a few days ago and we really thought that it was going to be good... The food doesn't really know what is supposed to be. I oredered a Chicken Pita sandwhich, It had mexican style Pico de gallo on it. And there were piceces of chicken in it that tasted really bad, not sure why.
We also ordered a Gyros, the meat smelled like dog food and was dry. My guess is that it was out all day.
The only thing that was good were the fries.
My wife and I both had stomach issues the next day. Â I would not recommend this place.
Had a Groupon that I needed to burn. Tried the Beef Kabob dinner and a Falafal sandwich. Â Thought the falafal was kinda dry... would like to see another sauce in there or something? Â Beef Kababs were good, flavorful. A little over cooked perhaps, but I did take it to go, so the carry over cooking may have done that. Overall a nice place.
Review Source:The shrimp were beyond over-cooked...they were so hard they were inedible. The salad was not fresh, the tomatoes had dark marks on them, and the potatoes were so hard on the edges I could not bite through them. The service is incredibly slow and te employees seem like they're barely trying. Wish I hadn't wasted $10 on a meal that went into the garbage.
Review Source:Surprisingly, this place was not that bad. Wanted to try a new place so came here one night not know what to expect. The specials on Thursdays was a gyro combo for only 5 bucks. The gyro had a lot of meat, they give you a ton of fresh fries, and a drink too. Really good price for the amount of food you get. They food was pretty good too. My only real complaint was that they tomatoes were cut too thick, it was hard to eat everything together.
Staff was nice, greeted me and said thanks for coming. Even got an extra cucumber sauce without getting any dirty looks. I came to this restaurant before it was Simply Kabobs (when it was just another hot dog burger place) and it had the exact same design, so not really Greekish looking but the food is what matters.
Wait for a groupon to come out. More bang for your buck!
This place is great. Â The kabobs are so juicy and flavorful. Â I had the chicken, pork and the beef. (not sure why they call if beef because it is steak). Â All of the kabobs were perfectly seasoned. Â The next time I went back I had a salad and that was really fresh with crisp lettuce and fresh vegetables topped with a healthy chicken kabob. Â One thing that I will point out as welll is they give you so much food. Â Seasoned rice and roasted potatoes, a side salad, pita bread and the kabobs. Â It is probably enough for two. Â Very affordable as well.
Review Source:I drove from Streamwood to get to this location as they closed the location in Hanover Park. Â I don't know what they were thinking, but the owners need to go visit this location and show those employees how to make Greek food correctly. Â Who puts Italian dressing in the Greek rice pilaf? YUCK! Â I knew what it was as soon as I started eating it, and instantly threw it away. Â This place does not offer the same quality they offered in Hanover Park, and the location looks rather dumpy on the inside.
Review Source:I would not eat here. They take forever along with rude customer serivce. Their salads are so gross and never fresh. I gave it a 2nd run and the the chicken was not cooked all the way. Id much rather drive to st charles to Just Kabobs, they serve the same for, but much more fresher, tastier and just a little bit cheaper, but not by much. All in all your wasting your money ordering here....
Review Source:Aweful,  the beef sandwich had no juice on it... totally tasteless and the bun was not "french bread" as a good beef should have. ie(Portillos) (Beef Villa).  The Beef Kabob was so chewy.. my steak knife even had a hard time with it.  And.... the Gyro meat was cooked so much.. it turned into like a very crispy bacon.  We took like two bites of each of these and just laughed because with each sandwich.. it just kept getting worse...  Also, found out this place is not at all affiliated with the Kabob's in St Charles... the owner I guess worked at the St Charles location for a few months and then took and opened this place..... The many owners they have here in S.Elgin,  need to eat some REAL beef sandwiches and check out the gyros at Skippy's down the roach in South Elgin.  Now these are  good sandwiches..  Way way bad, and a big waste of money.  I doubt the racoons will even eat this from my garbage!!!
Review Source:My husband and I went here two days ago. He ordered the chicken kabob dinner and I ordered the Greek salad. Yummy! Chicken was juicy and flavorful. The potatoes and rice are lightly seasoned (I hate too much salt!) The pita bread and salad add a lighter side dish. My greek salad was filled with tomatoes, kalamata olives, and red onions. The dressing is so light but full of flavor. We will definately be going back! I'm trying the gyro pita and he'll be trying the beef kabobs. For something different, definately try!
Review Source:My husband and I ate here for the first time today, and we enjoyed the food. Â We had the hummus with pita bread, and that was tasty. Â We're pretty sure the hummus is homemade; it was very flavorful. Â We both had the chicken kabob sandwich, and it was delicious. Â The chicken was made to order, and you can taste the delicious marinade that it had been soaking in. Â We can't wait to go back and try some of their other menu items.
Don't know why, but eateries that open in this location don't stay open too long, and that's a shame - there has been a few good places here. Â I really hope this one makes it. Â It's family owned, and their food is quality, and in an area filled with chain restaurants, that's pretty refreshing.
I have been here a couple of times since they opened. Â I do like the Kabob meals, and the amount of food that they give you. Â I have tried both the steak and chicken, and will be going back to try the pork and shrimp in the future. Â
I have tried a couple of sandwiches there as well, but they leave me wanting something better. Â There is nothing wrong with them, but nothing that makes me say, "yep, I'm having that again". Â Gyro is average. Â There are a couple of places in the area that are better. Â I am not a fan of Red Onion being put on my Gyro. Â It's too strong a flavor. Â The Spinach Pie is also average. Â I do like the Baklava.
All in all, decent place. Â There have been three different shops in this site in the past four years, so I wish them better success than the others. Â I would stick with the Kabobs though if you go.
