Don't drive here, there's barely any place to park.  Their "lot" can fit about 6 cars and no one will get out comfortably.  I wasn't here long enough to really enjoy much.  They do have Keno which is rarity in Quincy bars (HA!)  This does seem like it has plenty of patrons to stay afloat.  The overall feeling was that everyone in this bar already knew so much about everyone.

I walked in, asked for a Budweiser, got a Coors light.  No Credit Cards, which is a definite no-no for my return.  There was a guy out front who is obviously a painter and was either passed out or just really trying to smoke a cigarette on the tip of his lips.  I did notice the jukebox but let's face it, it's only there for looks.  The only bright part of the entire time there was when someone bought the entire bar a round, which was like buying 8 beers.  Fortunately it was a Budweiser, but it didn't matter because I left after one beer.

Quincy's diamond in the rough.  Patrons are friendly as are the bartenders, Mike in particular.  A feel good place with a jukebox that you can just hang out and relax.  Recommend it to anyone.

Who can say a bad thing about a local Irish pub owned by the Irish? Prices are reasonable, food is homemade & tasty, & the jukebox is nice on a Saturday night. Ages vary from the 20's to the 50's & 60's & everyone gets along. Great dart board & they've got Keno if you like to play. Great place to hang with friends & meet new people.

This is a very welcoming bar with a wonderful staff.  It truly is a cozy neighborhood den.  Mike, the bartender, gives free hugs.

I love this place.  It is pretty much the ONLY thing that's walking distance from my apartment and my roommate and I love to go there at midnight when we get off work after a stressful day.  It's tiny, most of the patrons all know each other, either from drunken conversation or by sight, and the reviews about the "drunks" there are obviously not made by people that go there often.  Of course, there are drunks present, but they are regulars and are non threatening and sometimes just overly friendly.  Mostly it's just people who are going there after work in groups to wind down.
Mary (and her establishment) is a shining gem in the black hole that is West Quincy.  Always friendly and welcoming, taking time out from slinging beer to make small talk.
I'm not sure that I should be mentioning this, but every time we order a shot, Mary makes sure to leave the tumbler behind, which, at times, has contained an extra SIX shots within.  She knows how to take care of her regulars.  Due to this, it was over six months before I even remembered the walk home from the Sly Fox (I attribute this to the shots building my tolerance).
Mary and Kristen are never shy about mixing up whatever concoction your mind can dream up and even making suggestions about what could make it better.  Once they get to know you and your drinking tastes, they are also keen to use you as a human guinea pig for their own creations, which is awesome!
I also should add one thing, when people come to visit us, usually the first night we go to the Sly Fox, because people are tired from travel and it's easy and convenient.  I love the Sly Fox, but it always surprises me that this is the bar that sticks out in everyone's minds, this is the place that people make note of when planning a return and comment "we have to make sure we go back to the Sly Fox".  No argument here!
The only thing that could make it better is one of those touch screen video game things.... We need to get some erotic photohunt up in the Sly Fox!!!

Just stopped in for a drink, but all-in-all, we're fans!  The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere was very "pubby".  I'm not sure that I'd eat here because I wasn't really impressed with the menu, but if you are looking for a drink and like the pub atmosphere, this just might be your place.  We'll definitely return!

Great bar. Small, relatively quiet and a good place to relax with friends and a Guiness or three. There is no kitchen but they do have soups and other food. Wicked nice owner/bartender who always makes you feel welcome. She also does a good job ob keeping the drunks and riff raff out.

i showed up on christmas because my friends and i wanted to watch the celtics game and neither of us had cable bc i had just moved and she lives with her parents. we got 3 drinks for $13 which was a surprise because i'm so used to paying 10 for a drink. we got to watch the game, drink, and see the locals interact. they were nice enough and the bartender was attentive. very chill place

When I want to go somewhere super close for an adult beverage that's not going to charge me $10 for a cocktail I go here. It's tiny, quaint and clean inside.  They also have a limited food menu that changes daily.  I've had the beef stew and it was yummy. Every time I go here I wind up having a great conversation with the bartender, proprietor and/or the other patrons (mostly locals). I can't say enough about the place. It's GREAT!

So this is where the people who get kicked out of bars for being too drunk go! Terrible experience with 40 year old drunk dudes everywhere. *Insert bouncer here*

The only sly fox up in this joint is Mary the lovely and charming proprietor.  She makes a mean chicken salad sandwich and if you're lucky she will bestow you with one of her signature winks.

Sometimes when I am sitting in a pub on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon I start to feel a bit guilty. Shouldn't I be out getting fresh air taking a stroll on the beach or cooking a Sunday lunch or taking a day trip somewhere?? Well the Sly Fox takes away all that needless guilt because this place is airy and bright. It's a small little cozy place but its full of light and looks out over a lovely park across the street. You feel like you're just hanging cozy cottage with the wooden floors and the freshly painted walls and with the front door open and the sunlight streaming in you may as well be on vacation in this lovely little spot.

hungry?? mary can cook! fresh home made stuff, so when your starving and still hung over from the night before and the lovely Mary brings you out a bowl of chicken soup and a sandwich- its like grandma tucking you in with a hot water bottle on your birthday.

We had a really great time at the Sly Fox. It wasn't crowded last Saturday.. but we were there early.. between 8-10pm. We didn't have any food but spent most of our time playing darts and watching the Bruins.

The only cons are that they don't take credit cards (but they do have an ATM machine) and they only have a few beers on tap.. and none of them are anything exciting. But my pint of Stella was only $3.25!

A fun little neigborhood bar. They have a jukebox, dartboard (which is awesome) and a good bartender. It's small inside but that adds to the appeal.

The only downside is they only have a few beers on tap and one of them is budweiser. If they had more beers on tap with a better selection it would def. be 5 stars

You go to the Sly Fox to have a good time with friends, a few choice pints, and some laughs. It delivers that in spades. Awesome service, great food, and the size really makes it fee like you're sitting in your front room having a few.

    Perfect.

This what you call a true neighborhood bar! this is one of the best bars to go relax and grab a cold Guiness, the owner or bartender will go out of there way to make sure you are happy. The Sly Fox is a place I highly recommend and consider trying if you haven't already!!!!!  Don't be scared by the location or the people, its what you make out of it because I can tell you the staff will make sure you are having a super time.... Don't forget to try there fa famous beef stew or maybe even the ham sandwich.

Don't judge this book by it's cover. From the outside it might look small but take a step in and you'll see why the Sly Fox is actually more cozy than cramped. I feel like the more people that are in here the better the atmosphere gets. Especially with the diverse crowd that it draws, from 20 somethings to Irish American's to old timers to the person that is from outta town. I've had some amazing, crazy nights at the Sly Fox... especially during a snow storm.

Mary is an absolute saint of a bartender!! She's quick with a drink and has a tongue that can cut. Internet Jukebox for the mother fuckin' swiiindle!!!! Yes, I will play over 30 songs tonight, and yes half of them will include Journey, Bon Jovi, and Guns & Roses.

Dive to nines but absolutely AMAZING!!!

Yet another awesome dive bar that I give 5 stars.

My former co-worker Jie (pronounced  "G" or "Gee".....JIE-UNIT!!!! WHAT!!!" )  went here after work on a Friday once for some brews.   Turns out it's a nice little spot inside.   From the outside, it's a red little shack.   Indoors, there are about 4 tables and I wouldn't want to be in here if there were more than 30 or so patrons but I wonder if that is ever a problem here....

Bartenders were nice, and it's a colorful and fun crowd here I'm sure as early evening turns into NIGHT.

I remember seeing a sign for bands playing which is interesting since it's so small.  I could be mistaken though.

Real-deal local joint, one of the best in Quincy.

Last time here I saw a dude in his mid twenties pick up a 50 year old faaat chick, it was glorious!!

And they have a jukebox so you can rock out to Journey!

Hint: I would never eat here.
