I'm kinda in love with the vibe here more than anything. We had just come from the dog park and wanted a bite where we could bring the pup. I called, and yes they can have dogs on the patio. Me and the hubs may have been the only people not rocking an full sleeve, but everyone was very chill. The patio is huge, with plenty of seating and corn hole boards all around. They even had easy bar access from the outside so I imagine this is just a really cool place to hang out when the live music is going and the rest of the biker gang show up. Seems like they host events here often.
In terms of the food, pretty good bbq. The fries were a little limp which made me sad, but the meal on the whole is kinda what I was in the mood for. Once I get tats and a chopper I'll be back to rep.
The food is fanatic. I wish I lived closer so I could go all the time. Â Good beer selections on tap with more on the way.
Friendly staff (lots of cute females)
Live music, Â pool tables, Â corn hole, fire pits on the patio makes for a great smoking section.
This place has only been open for a few months and really deserves a chance.
Not connected with the owners of the  previous  establishment (desil).
Any place  that makes their own Bacon has gotta rock! And this place does!! Very dark interior but a nice looking bar area clean rest rooms and a friendly staff. I had the smoked out burger topped with said bacon and pulled BBQ probably in my top 5 burgers of all time super flavorful and cooked perfect mid rare, my wife had the pulled pork very tasty but a bit dry, we ordered a side of hush puppies that were awesome served with a smoky cheese dip that was fab!! Prices were fair  and while the staff was friendly our serve was a bit off very nice but disappeared a lot! All in all I will be back they have a killer menu that I want to try most of!!
Review Source:This place had only been open 6 days when we decided to try it out but I think they have a lot of potential. When my wife and I walked in we were greeted to some loud reggae music. There wasn't anyone to seat us so we just grabbed a booth along the wall. Shortly thereafter, the waitress brought us our menus. I really liked the diverse barbecue styled items on the menu. I have been to a handful of barbecue spots around Virginia Beach and none of them really grabbed me. Smoke From Above has a pretty decent menu and Whitner's isn't bad either but there isn't anything very exciting on the menu; luckily Smoked Out prevails! Their menu ranges from beef brisket cheesesteaks to bbq chicken wafflestacks, I dig it.
I ended up going with the pulled pork platter w/ hush puppies and a side of mushrooms. The pulled pork was pretty awesome. It didn't come with much sauce which I think is great, you get a chance to enjoy the meat without sauce saturation. The hush puppies were pretty damn good but I wasn't that big a fan of the mushrooms since they were cooked in beer....just my preference.
All in all, I will be coming back to Smoked Out. The food was pretty awesome and they seem to be able to book some good live music. I'm amped to try the brisket next time!
