Spanky's Pub

I lived right up the street from this bar for about a year and would often head down to watch the Phils and grab a few beers and dinner. The owner is a really nice dude and you can head down there in a tshirt and jeans and fit right in.

The wings are pretty decent and occasionally they have $1 tacos, which are actually pretty good. They also for some reason have ridiculously hot female bartenders - no clue why because there is never that many people in there.

So if you are looking for a place to watch a game, grab a bite to eat and get some cheap booze this is not a bad place.

Spanky's has all of the potential to be a great corner establishment. Decent drinks, intimate atmosphere and a variety of entertaining games (MegaTouch, Golden Tee, Darts, etc).  However, when I was last there, the bar tender was awful. It was a Friday night and there was a low to medium sized crowd there and she seemed like she was completely overwhelmed tending by herself. Then once she settled down, she basically ignored my friends and me when we tried to order our drinks. Whatever, I worked at a bar for seven years and know what it is like to have an off-night, but then she told us that she was doing last call at 1:15 AM. Last call with all of the lights on and the music still blasting? I'd definitely go back because aside from that bartender the place was pretty cool, but it is what it is, you know?

Great place to just grab a beer and hang out. None of the 'typical' Main St stuff here. Nice variety of people from townies, to college kids to late 20s crowd. If you go be sure to attack the Buck Hunter game - its addictive.
