This isn't my favorite Spicy Pickle location, but I was grateful for it when I worked across the street on the new VA hospital.  It was either these good paninis or greasy pizza, and I don't do well in the afternoons with greasy food.

The staff has always been reasonably friendly, after all you have to consider that you are on Colfax and it is the lunch hour, and the sandwiches have been brought out within 10 minutes or so.  I'm not complaining.  It does tend to get a little dirty during lunch rush, so you may have to bus the rude people's before you meal as well as your own.  Big deal, I say.

Spicy Pickle has tanked as a good sandwich place, IMO. I used to love them, but something has drastically changed. You're lucky to find one because they've all mostly closed. There are still couple stragglers around though.

This location is painfully slow even when there aren't many people in there. I've been on several occasions hoping for something to change, but its been the same each time. I'd like to also add that it seems they've skimped on the quality of their ingredients. Something seems a little off with their sandwiches these days. I can't say I'll ever return and it's a shame, they used to hit the mark. What happened Spicy Pickle?

A really decent sandwich menu with some great options for making your own sandwich. I bit overpriced for what you get, but it was a pretty tasty sandwich.

The Spicy Pickle seems to be having a tough time of it these days.  The Colorado boulevard location is closed, the South Broadway location is closed.  I like the menu offerings, and this particular location in Aurora has a very personable staff.  I do see how some patrons might have a problem with the pricing, but to me the food is unique enough to justify a slightly higher price.  This location uses real silverware, real plates and the staff seemed to genuinely care about my experience.  The counter guy who took my order also checked in on me a second time after delivering the food to my table.  The sandwich was good.  I had the Yard Bird with potato salad as a side.  This sandwich is a chicken, apples, spinach, bleu cheese, and honey mustard sandwich on a multi-grain roll.  The space is laid out in a slightly strange way in this newer strip mall in Aurora, but they make it work.  Good for a lunch stop if you happen to be in this part of the metro area.   And, yes, they do have spicy pickles, you get a slice with your meal if you want one.

Mediocer, over price basic food  Let's put it this way...  I got one tiny slice of tomato on my one slice of ham sandwich. The pasta salad was basically pasta; no flavor what so ever!!!  Subway does a better job and is half the cost.

They do live up to their name. The pickles are spicy! The pasta salad tastes like pain wet noodles. Sandwiches are nothing fancy. I get more veggies for less at any Subway. I added an extra star for being a local company.

I love Spicy Pickle but this location sucks. I've been to this one a few times and each time it gets worse. There is an extreme difference in flavor between this location and all others. They also always screw the order up and leave something out, our trip last week will be the last trip. There was a ditz working behind the counter - stuck up and paying little attention to customers and then she handed us our bag missing the deserts that we paid for.

This wasn't my first experience at a Spicy Pickle, just this one. After two tries I can pretty safely say I'm just not a fan. The place was nearly completely empty when I stopped by for lunch today, at 11:30. My turkey pastrami was rather unremarkable. Not that I think they did anything wrong making it, but it just wasn't designed to be that good in the first place. Honestly, it tasted more like a bologna sandwich. A really expensive bologna sandwich on rye which IMO was too thick. I had a side salad instead of chips, that was ok. Eh, I'm unimpressed. The best part of my meal was my pickle, which for the price should have been at least a half and not a quarter. I guess they are really proud of their mayo here, I'm not sure why.

I normally like Spicy Pickle, but this location needs a staff makeover. Came in and was told "we closing in 5 minutes." A minute later I asked for a turkey sandwich. "no turkey" came the reply. "we closing in two minutes." The message was clear. I don't know who owns this location, but if you value customers you'd better engage asap.

Ok so I was told "YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE" by my partner who used to eat spicy pickle all the time. So we went, and they were BUSY. Which I thought was a good sign. Sadly no..

I had the "Bronx" and my partner had the "Southside". We both got the pasta salad which came with the sandwich and we made them combos. The combo added a soda and bag of chips.

My Bronx sandwich was supposed to be corned beef, swiss, thousand island dressing and coleslaw. I ended up with basically a coleslaw sandwich. The meat had no taste at all. Same with the southside sandwich, which was roastbeef.  No taste in the meat. The pasta salad was worse than something you find at a potluck. Dry, gummy, over seasoned with one spice, and bland.

The best part of my meal was the Ms Vickies Chips- Spinach and artichoke flavor and  my icey cold Coke.

NEVER AGAIN, cross that off my list. Oh PS expensive, like $11 per person.

Yuck.   I have never been more "dis charmed" with a place before.  Aside from the cooks coughing all over the food, the appearence of the staff was horendous.  Cashier was wearing a doo rag.  Two 399 lb cooks were wearing stained clothes and one was wearing see through dirty pink tights. The other made rosanne look like a pagent winner.  Weight shouldn't be an issue but these 2 look liked they took no pride in their job or appearance.  Will never go back!  Yuck yuck yuck

Please excuse mis spellings on the phone...

First bonus with me is that u get a spicy pickle with your order. YUMMY!
    I want 5 !!

Denver area has no idea how good they have it.

These ppl giving less than 5 stars for the price... where can they name that has better quality ingredients and variety?

This sandwich shop lets you custom build your perfect sandwich.
They give you choices of great artisan baked breads
Many different equally succulent sauces and spreads to choose from
Excellent selection of meat and way more vegetables than anywhere I can think of. This is a sandwich lovers paradise.

I used to come to this location quite a lot a few years ago, but after gorging on paninis a few times a week, Spicy Pickle lost its charm.  So I decided to venture in today and reacquaint myself with the delicious memories of their toasty warm sandwiches.

To sample a few more things than just a panini, I opted for the soup and sandwich deal for $6.95.  I noshed on the Adobe (mesquite turkey, peppers, onions, corn) while enjoying spoonfuls of the broccoli cheddar soup.  And of course, I can't forget the namesake: the spicy pickle was indeed spicy!  That was probably my favorite part of my lunch.

Not a bad spot in the least, but nothing spectacular.  I feel that the price is a bit too much, but you can't really beat less than $10!  Friendly staff and great service.  I'm glad Spicy Pickle is still in the AMC hood.

I was completely starving and in this area of town...don't even ask why...

Anyway, I needed food fast and figured that a sandwich would be filling and hit the spot.  I had been to a different Spicy Pickle location about a year ago and figured that this location would be just as good.

Walked inside around 1 PM and all of the chairs were up on tables. I felt like it might be closing time!  As I approched the register and menu board, a girl with the Spicy Pickle uniform on yelled out "you have a customer!"  This guy came over. He was sitting with friends who were having a bite to eat at the only table that had chairs on the floor.

I remarked..."hmmm...I guess you are the only one working, and that she doesn't work here..."
he said, "no she works here but isn't on the clock."

As I stared at the menu board, contemplating my choices, in dire need of something to eat, I started to ask "what was the difference between...(I was going to insert name of two Italian sandwiches here,)however, he named the two veggie sandwiches. I laughed and asked why did you choose those? He mentioned it was the way I was dressed.
    Interesting.
Guess I threw him when I ordered an Italian sandwich with meat!

The sandwich was ok...but the service was really strange.  I do not need to be judged based on what I am wearing, as to what I may order.

Also, I found it a bit weird when we had like two inches of snow that they were looking ready to close and he mentioned they wanted to leave early but corporate would get mad.

Go to  a different location, or eat at another establishment in this little food plaza across from Children's and CU.

I've seen Spicy Pickle locations in Las Vegas and Phoenix, but never stopped in while I was there. The little shopping complex this particular location is situated in also has a Noodles and Co., Chipotle, and a pizza place. But I love a good sandwich and I'm always interested in trying a new place.

I settled on the Bronx panini, except exchanged the corned beef for turkey. I had swiss, thousand island, and their horseradish coleslaw. The bread was surprisingly good. Many places have nasty panini bread...too chewy or too crusty or too thick. Honestly, the sandwich wasn't my cup of tea. I don't particularly like horseradish and while the other items on the panini were good, it was overwhelmed by the horseradish coleslaw. Next time I think I'll go for something different.

The pickle served along with the sandwich was good. I love spicy food (save for horseradish!) and it had the perfect amount of kick to it. It was nice and crunchy, not soggy.

The service here was stellar. Quick and friendly. Quite honestly, I've never been to a place like this where the staff actually come up to you after your done and ask if everything was okay. It was nice, definitely not intrusive or obnoxious.

One odd thing I noticed is that the sign out front states they have "pizzettis". Not sure what that is, but there was no mention of it on the menu.

I'm reserving a star until my next visit. I think that if I had tried something else, it would have been a 4 star experience.
