Spoleto

I had a groupon and people had said it was good.. but hadn't been there is awhile. Should have known better.

First off, the menu choices were completely unappealing. The drinks were good, which helped a bit although the waitress brought the wrong ones. The waitress seemed completely busy (although I also wait tables and could have ran circles around this lady) and forgot to bring us bread. Here is something that also kills me, our appetizer never came. Instead of apologizing, the waitress accused us of never saying that. There were 4 of us... trust us, we'd remember if someone said that.
For the salads, the dressing choices were gross and to top it all off, and yes, I am not exaggerating, this food was the grossest food I've ever ingested in my entire life. GROSS. The pizza wasn't cooked all the way, and the chicken parm was also undercooked.

All of us had farts that could clear rooms for two days straight.  WE WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN!

We went to Spoleto for a Valentine's Day dinner. Our server was polite and funny, and very attentive. Once we ordered, food service took quite a while, but given the holiday, I'm sure the kitchen was overwhelmingly busy. I ordered the Chocolate Chili Braised Short Ribs and they were absolutely amazing. The flavor was unique and the meat was fall-off-the-bone tender. The garlic mashed potatoes were great, though I wasn't allowed to substitute anything for the bitter greens that accompanied the meal. My boyfriend got the Rigatoni Bolognese, which he liked, though the sauce was overwhelming compared to the amount of rigatoni in the bowl...this ratio should definitely be fixed. The tiramisu for dessert was great. All in all a good experience.

My chicken entree was good but the apps and desserts were a joke as far as quality and size go! Thankfully we had a groupon but even considering that I didn't think it was worth the price.
