I'm not much of a sports bar person but I was invited to come on over by my friends who were watching the Laker game weeks ago.

It's a pretty decent neighborhood bar with six tv's, two dart boards, and two pool tables.  They have a TouchTunes jukebox too.  This particular night, there was plenty of space.

They offer six beers on tap.  My friend bought me a chilled mug of Stella.  For somebody who doesn't drink beer much, that mug was a pretty hefty size.

Don't expect any bar nuts although they do have microwave popcorn sold for $1 that Mel would gladly pop up for you.

We got a chance to speak to Boots, the owner.  He has this special event going down for the 4th of July.  A party bus will be leaving the bar that day to Dodger Stadium for the game where you will be chowing down on dogs and treated to a firework show.  Space is limited, if not sold out by now.

    Good place to hang out.
Peacefull enviroment, good crowd, nice place to enjoy a good pool game, The owner Jimmy B. a very cool person to talk to and to do business with. So far good experience.
Would be better to have more options to snack while waching tv sports and trying to deflate the stress of a busy day.
Thank you guys and keep up the good stock.

What can I say about this place.
Don't waste your time might be a good start.
Everything about this place down to the owner Jim "boots" is no surprise the place is always empty.

You have a few local(drug addicts, hoodlums) who attend the bar regularly  so you can imagine the scene.

The bar has been known to water down their drinks ie. tap in cheap beer and sell it as a import.

Another bar on the "Avenue of Alcohol" (aka Wardlow Road) is the Sports Pub and Grill.  This two-story establishment sits in front of a transmission place and is just a stone's throw from a small beauty salon and Fosberg's Cleaners.  So, if you stumble out of the Sports Pub, you can pick up some hair care products AND go to Fosberg's to clean the unsightly vomit from your shirt.

The Sports Pub serves only beer and wine.  Only been there twice; least the schooners are frosted.  Have a couple pool tables and the food is SUPPOSEDLY decent.  This places attracts quite a few characters (i.e.; scumbags and ruffians) and the entertainment consists of a jukebox, pinball machine and the Keno.  "Boots", the owner is by all accounts I heard to be a real sexist a-hole.  The women bartenders they have are a bit hard on the eyes (say, 120 grit sandpaper).

Interesting point of the bar layout is the fact that the bar sits on a 1.5" to 2" slab, so after you've had a few beers, you might stumble, fall, twist your ankle, etc.  They have a warning sign posted, but little good that'll do if you fall and do a face-plant on the sidewalk.

Try someplace else, like PJ says at Wardlow Station, "There a hundred other bars in Long Beach."
