I lived part of my life in Texas and have traveled through most of the south (Memphis, Carolinas) and west (Kansas City) so I know my BBQ. Â Indiana is not known for the 'que. Â However, Squealers is a beacon in the darkness. Â My wife and in-laws love the pork ribs, but I am a brisket/pulled porked guy myself. Â They all have just the right amount of smoke and Squealers gets the pink ring that all BBQ lovers look for and love.
Review Source:I don't even know where to start. Â This ranks up there with one of the best BBQ places I've ever been in the country. Â
Busy on this Saturday evening. Â They were out of brisket! How does this happen!
I settled for the smoked 1/2 chicken dry which was super tender and moist with a great smoky aroma. I always get the mix of sweet and spicy bbq sauce it's a perfect blend of zip with a touch of sweetness and not over sweet but not super hot even though the chicken can stand alone a dip in the sauce every bite or so is perfect burst of flavor. Â I had baked beans and a sweet potato on the side. The baked beans had pork in them and had just the right amount of spice and seasoning in them. Â
The meal comes with fried biscuits and apple butter.
Everything a BBQ place should be!
