Steak N Shake

Shakes were good !

Ambiance was "Ok".

So this was within walking distance of the hotel I was staying in.  I had checked in late and when I asked the lady at the front desk if there was any place where I could get a bit to eat she pointed me in the direction of Steak & Shake.   I was kind of hoping for something else, but beggars can't be choosers.

So I walked over to put in an order for carry-out.  The place was relatively empty so the guy behind the counter didn't waste any time taking my order.  I went with the Jalapeno Crunch Steakburger and based on the recommendation of the server, the Bacon Cheese Fries.  Put them in a bag and took them over to the hotel.

I actually left them in the bag for about fifteen to twenty minutes after I got back to my room.  When I finally got around to eating, the food was still pleasantly warm (although the buns were a little damp) and the fries tasted great.  Cost was a little high, but not that bad.  Nice job for a late night dinner.
