  Oh so good going down but I think this is best for splurging once every few months!! Again, very tasty but the grease film left on my plate can't be too good for my insides.

  I love this Steak 'n Shake location.  The food is always fresh and good and the staff go out of their way to make us feel welcome.

  Great burgers(fav in Springfield) good service  clean consistent . However they are following what I call the DARDEN GROUP(olive garden red lobster ) management style "we don't want you to come in to are restaurants, want you to leave. "

  Normally when I go to this Steak N Shake, it's because I'm having a late dinner (around midnight) with my grandmother on her way home from work.  I haven't always enjoyed this particular location--nothing is really close to it, although the city is building up the area.  The food here is comparable to the Steak N Shake on N. Glenstone.  The crowd isn't as diverse here, but you can check out my comments about that on my N. Glenstone location review.
  
  If you're cruising 65 and need a fix, this is your place.  It's right off the highway, a million times better than Denny's, and has a drive through.  The night staff is usually fairly friendly as well.
