Myself and my girlfriend heard great things, so we decided to give it a go. We stopped in and while we didn;t have a reservation, and the place looked rather busy, we failed to even be acknowledged. We stood there just begging for, at the VERY least, eye contact from the hostess. A simple "I'm sorry, we'll be right with you" would have been fine, because we were more than happy to wait it out. Instead we were ignored, so we left. My review is based solely on service, since we never got to try the food.
Review Source:The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is because...I will explain later.
Definitely need reservations on the weekend. Â The menu has good variety although I wish they had whole wheat pasta and 1/2 portions. Â
We split the special Eggplant Napoleon, which was layered to perfection. Â Salads come with all entrees, and if you switch out the regular dinner salad for one on the menu, it's huge. Â I got a salad with gorgonzola and pecans on it. Â It was tremendous.
I ordered a pasta dish--can't remember what it was called, but they left off the black olives. Â The sauce was divine, but a lot of pasta went to waste. Â BF got the Chesapeake Steak, which was a special. Â The meat was cooked perfectly and the blue-cheese mashed potatoes and onion rings were great. Â We enjoyed our meal.
Later that night, it was a different story. Â BF's meal was so rich that he got sick in the middle of the night. Â I was fine, since I had a lighter portion, but it was still a lot of food. Â I would return, but I'm not sure if he will.
