Streets of London Pub

just an FYI, i was here on Friday 7-19-13 and was not happy. As I ordered i informed the waitress that i am alergic to chili therefore no chili in my taco salad she kept interupting me and when i finally got my meal it had chili in the corn mix, when i complained to the second waitress she rolled her eyes and said she would change it out, well she took the corn mix out and replaced it with cheddar cheese. Our meal took a long time to serve and it was mid afternoon after the lunch crowd and it was not busy, i have been here alot and this was my worse visit so far.My husband orded the deep fried mushrooms that had sat for a while i guess he said some were cold some were ok and some were over cooked.

I have visited this location many times following a Sacramento River Cats game and I have never been disappointed.  Although this is a place I have mainly come for Happy Hour or post game drinks, I have always loved their Fish & Chips and highly recommend them for anyone who is looking to eat.  They have a good selection of beers to choose from but I always go with a good old fashioned Black & Tan,  I haven't dove any deeper into the menu but it does appear to have changed since my last visit and seems to have a more modern and revamped feel to it.  Not the largest bar you will find so on crowded evenings it can be tough to get in and get drink refills but not anything that would keep me from coming back.

I'm going to be honest, I have never been a fan of Streets of London (downtown Sacramento). It's just not really my scene. So when I was invited to have dinner and drinks at the West Sacramento location I wasn't extremely pumped or anything.

Came before anyone else, we were scheduled to meet at 6pm, walked in, there was a baby, in a bar. OK. I looked around, not at all what you're used to downtown. I guess they say this one is a family place, they don't even play music until later at night because of the "family atmosphere" ummm OK it's still a bar. Ordered from the table, all the servers were really nice, had no problems with their service. Food was REALLY GOOD! I had the fish and chips and it was like an entire fish! My husband had the blue cheese burger and I thought it was pretty good, but he said their onion rings were on point. Everyone else had scotch eggs and some kind of chicken sandwich. They liked the scotch eggs but made no comment about the sandwich.

So maybe I'm biased, but I thought the food was good, but not good enough to go back. I just dislike the atmosphere, not my kind of place.
