just an FYI, i was here on Friday 7-19-13 and was not happy. As I ordered i informed the waitress that i am alergic to chili therefore no chili in my taco salad she kept interupting me and when i finally got my meal it had chili in the corn mix, when i complained to the second waitress she rolled her eyes and said she would change it out, well she took the corn mix out and replaced it with cheddar cheese. Our meal took a long time to serve and it was mid afternoon after the lunch crowd and it was not busy, i have been here alot and this was my worse visit so far.My husband orded the deep fried mushrooms that had sat for a while i guess he said some were cold some were ok and some were over cooked.
Review Source:I have visited this location many times following a Sacramento River Cats game and I have never been disappointed. Â Although this is a place I have mainly come for Happy Hour or post game drinks, I have always loved their Fish & Chips and highly recommend them for anyone who is looking to eat. Â They have a good selection of beers to choose from but I always go with a good old fashioned Black & Tan, Â I haven't dove any deeper into the menu but it does appear to have changed since my last visit and seems to have a more modern and revamped feel to it. Â Not the largest bar you will find so on crowded evenings it can be tough to get in and get drink refills but not anything that would keep me from coming back.
Review Source:I'm going to be honest, I have never been a fan of Streets of London (downtown Sacramento). It's just not really my scene. So when I was invited to have dinner and drinks at the West Sacramento location I wasn't extremely pumped or anything.
Came before anyone else, we were scheduled to meet at 6pm, walked in, there was a baby, in a bar. OK. I looked around, not at all what you're used to downtown. I guess they say this one is a family place, they don't even play music until later at night because of the "family atmosphere" ummm OK it's still a bar. Ordered from the table, all the servers were really nice, had no problems with their service. Food was REALLY GOOD! I had the fish and chips and it was like an entire fish! My husband had the blue cheese burger and I thought it was pretty good, but he said their onion rings were on point. Everyone else had scotch eggs and some kind of chicken sandwich. They liked the scotch eggs but made no comment about the sandwich.
So maybe I'm biased, but I thought the food was good, but not good enough to go back. I just dislike the atmosphere, not my kind of place.
Since it's been over a year since my last review of Streets of London Pub here in West Sac, and since things are a tad different since then, I thought I should do an updated review.
One thing never changes...I love their fish and chips. Closest thing to real British fish and chips I used to eat just about every Friday when my family lived in England (Air Force brat).
What has changed is their menu and decor. Not much, just expanded, which is great in both areas. For instance, they have a couple of booths now and genereally more seating, and the fish and chips come in full or half size (instead of dinner or lunch size). I ordered the full size, $11.50, like I always do, and it was HUGE! I couldn't finish all my chips (I always polish off all my yummy battered fish first, which was a humungous piece). Hubby opted for the chicken bacon ranch wrap special with a side of clam chowder, both of which he said were great.
I'll keep coming back because SoLP is my go-to for when I get that urge for fish & chips. I'll order the half-size fish & chips and stick to soda to keep the costs back down in the region I handle. Because of the expanded menu, I would urge y'all to give this place a try if you haven't yet...even if you don't like fish & chips (unbelievable!), their new expanded menu has lots of stuff you can dig into.
Don't be a wanker, and bloody well give it a try...you'll be gob-smacked :)
Different vibe as it's in a strip mall vs. downtown location, but still what you expect when you walk in and friendly staff.
Tried my new favorite adult beverage here last night and have found my summer drink. http://angryorchard.com/… ..........
Cheers!
Have you been here lately?!? Â If not, you need to stop by! Â Their menu has changed and it's awesome!!! Â The entrees are great! Â Are you getting a "fancy" dinner... no... but you're getting really great food at a great price, served by awesome staff, that become like family if you're a regular!
I love the new Chicken Parmesan (never like chicken parm from anywhere else). Â The $10 bottle of wine with two entrees is a great deal too! Â And, don't worry, they've kept all the faves of the traditional Pub menu too!
Lastly, my favorite feature is getting to eat and drink outside with the firepits in the summer and watching the sun set over the fields... awesome!
New menu with some yummy stuff added! Â we tried the veggie pizza and it was great! Â lots of garlic and the veggies were still a little crunchy.
I had the bleu burger and the bun it came on was perfect, not to big and just the right texture. Â Loved the big ol onion rings too! Â Although, they were a little greasy, i still ate them up.
Overall, this place has improved... I still wish they would make it a little brighter, it's so dim in there it hurts your eyes.
Not kid friendly!
Sadly, there are so few restaurants in West Sacramento, and now there's one fewer for our family. We have a 2-year-old and a 6-mo-old, so we're not the easiest crew to accommodate. But give me a diaper-changing station, some gluten-free options on the kid's menu, and a baby carrier stand ... and I'm a happy mommy.
The SOL pub in West Sac has none of those things. I had to change a diaper leaning over a booth bench. I had to buy an adult size burger for the 2YO - minus the bun, veggies and condiments because there were no options for my allergy-prone toddler. And they charged me full price: $10.50 for a pre-made, frozen hamburger patty.
Not to mention, when I got my cobb salad, it was not as the menu described - it had mixed greens instead of romaine, ranch instead of balsamic vinaigrette, grilled chicken instead of pan-fried chicken. I never like to send things back, but I was so disappointed. When they got it right, the balsamic dressing is amazing!
It's a great place for a non-kid outing for beers and fried food, but not a place for young families.
According to Foursquare, I haven't been to the West Sac Streets of London since September 2012. During that time, according to the guy checking our ID at the door, they hired a new chef, and the chef completely revamped the food menu and the food is pretty legit now (his words). Now, I came here this night strictly for the drinks, so I didn't get a chance to try out a menu, so the verdict is still out. But knowing that they have a different food menu excites me. Their food wasn't BAD to begin with, but it wasn't GREAT either. Other notable changes they have made since I was last here was they now have TWO table booths for more privacy. And they are pretty darn private.
Even without the changes, this was a bar I love to come to because 1) it's not packed with frat dudes douching it up with their "bro's", and 2) it doesn't take me 15 minutes to get a drink like many of the other bars in downtown, and 3) it's close to home!
Pubs seem to have a permanent connection to my happy-centers.
Finally managed to make it in here and was not at all disappointed. Â Big portions, lots of beer, lots of homey wood everywhere, cliched anglo decor, everything I expected.
While I concede that giant plates of deep-fried happiness and sandwiches aren't everyone's cuppa (HA! Â See what I did there?), I loved my meal here and would happily be a regular if I was local.
I dined at the West Sacramento location and ordered the double stacked veggie burger. The veggie patties themselves are flavorful, but really simply too much for the bun - it created an out of whack ratio of pattie to bun that was, among other things, difficult to get one's mouth around. Should I return and order the same, I'll request just one pattie as opposed to two. The onion rings that come looped on the knife propped into the burger were a little soggy in grease and not terribly flavorful - I kinda felt like I had an exxon-valdeez experience happening where taste should have occurred. The fries were alright, but nothing to write home about.
My fellow diner had the fish and chips which she reported to be the best she'd had in quite a while.
The service was good and the ambiance was comfortable. On Wednesday nights the pub hosts a trivia night which was entertaining to witness even as my fellow diner and I did not participate.
One thing I will give the pub a bonus for is that they actually have an honest-to-goodness british breakfast on the menu unlike the Fox & Goose where the concept of eggs, beans & grilled tomato is as foreign as Great Britain. Should I ever have brunch here I'll check it out.
Overall, and perhaps it's because I've lived in England, I wasn't all that impressed.
There was nothing terribly special about this place, but it met my expectations. The service was good and I got what I wanted--pub food. I was happy to see they had a vegetarian sandwich on the menu (a kind of cheesy panini). I opted for their french fries, hoping for thick steak fries, and that's just what I got! They have a good selection of English and other European beers. The ambiance isn't great, but it's not bad either. Sit in a booth!
Review Source:Just finished up dinner at a great new find! The streets of london in West Sac! The one downtown is terrible don't ever go there! But we had fried pickles that were the bomb, cheesy potato soup (not my first choice...it was fantastic.. Then we did share-sies dinner (my favorite) and split the philly cheesesteak with mashed potatoes and gravy (you got to dip your philly in the gravy!) And the special of the day...chicken, melted cheese and bacon sandwich with pesto aoli (we skipped the aoli and went traditional mayo.) Â And real fresh made onion rings...AND THEN....they finished it off with a nice chocolate chip cookie! It was great and will definitely go back again! Brought lots of leftovers too! AND Great Service!
Review Source:Like this place much more than midtown as is less crowded, more open with better table spacing, just feel newer hence just a better overall vibe.
One reason to come here, English cider!!! Goes down easy with great taste. Oder it by the pitcher! Never tried the food here, only at the one at midtown. Â Would like to try sheppard pie one time, but its the drinks that brings me back.
Ian whats up....? Need to check into this place.
I remember your first place. (Friend of Gerrys.... Joe here) Your small kitchen still put out good looking and tasting food.
Your West Sac...place which I been to 3 times falls short.
Service is always dodgie , The women bartenders need to working at Home Depot or somewhere, slow non caring,no personality...Food not expensive per say but presentation sucks and portions are a little frugal , 4 of my wings looked like the chickens flying in form Wisconsin looking for Foster Farm Jobs...they were beat up and sauce just dumped on them the other apps came out looking like they were shaken up in a Safeway bag and dumped on a plate....I applaud you for hiring high school kids if thats what happening but you need someone who cares about food.
I love you guy but I have a hard time spending my money there...Beer is still good on an up note
NOt sure why there is only 3 stars! Â I love this place!
REALLY great bloody mary!
ONE of the BEST onion rings with ranch ever!
Delish Shepards pie! Â Warm comfort food A+!
Great service.
Awesome Rueben sandwich! Â Melty swiss in this chopped meaty Rueben, one of the best! Â
Also they give Choco. CHip cookies on the house... price was right too!
Such slow service I felt myself age at the table. However this is not all the servers fault as they are completely understaffed at lunch time. I watched as the one poor girl handled bussing, serving and the bar alone. The best part is when customers come in 10-15 minutes behind you and are served before you.
As for the food I did not expect much more than a decent bar food yet it wasn't even that. Very bland flavors, canned gravy, frozen pizza dough etc. For as much as the beer costs I would expect just a bit better quality food served.
+Clean store & nice parking.
+Bright & cheery place with lots of windows. Â
+Bartender/Server was really nice & prompt
+Food came out very quickly
Shepherd's pie. Â It was so good! Â
+Good sized portion
+Flavorful ground beef, carrots & onions
-SO HOT we had to wait a bit...not really a con.
Beer Battered Onions rings
+hot, crispy & flaky!
Pineapple Kamakazi
+sweet & delicious...it became out Super Mardi Bowl Party drink
Holy bajeeesuz! This place is SO freaking far from my house. I hope my friends were happy I drove all the way out here.
It's in a cool little strip mall, HUGE patio outside, which is nice. Inside seemed a bit cramped and dark (I mean yeah it's WAY bigger than downtown but still).
Huge bar and great staff. And hello, bottomless mimosas? :)
As a West Sacramento resident, I was thrilled when Streets opened. I was hesitant to go to the Sail Inn, not interested in Club Pheasant, so Streets presented an opportunity to have a beer out without going to midtown.
The other reviewers are correct about this Streets being in a new strip mall. Sure, the decor is new. But if you think about it, the only reason the midtown Streets location looks more "authentic" as people have put it is because the decor and furniture have been used for a few years, and the building was not new when the bar moved in. The West Sac location is very similar, just not full of hipster college students (thank you!).
The food tastes as good at the West Sac location as it does in midtown, with the addition of pizza. The service is fine, and the beer is cold (though they have served me beer in a warm glass before).
I was impressed with the hospitality a while back when I came in with my extended family after an event- five kids under eight, and eight adults- in the middle of the day on a weekend. We all ate, had the side section to ourselves, and the staff were very family friendly.
I like having the option of a nice bar with cheap-ish food not far from home. I'm glad Streets is in West Sac.
The 4-Star is only because Streets is probably the hippest and newest "night life" scene in West Sacramento. Â I have found myself over here with co-workers to unwind after a long day at the J-O-B. Â It is the happenin' place in West Sac, but I couldn't knock the other joints nearby since I've never been interested enough to visit, not knowing what kind of crowd to expect in an old, quaint town like this one is. Â This strip mall is fairly new over-all and has not been around longer than 4 years. Â It's promising though.
As for Streets, the luvvly-jubbly servers and barmaids are friendly and will take shots with you if you buy their drink. Had my first Blowjob with one. (CALM DOWN, IT'S A MIXED DRINK nasties!) Their nosh is ace too, and you can order lunch portions throughout the day! I hear their scotch egg and Salmon Burgers are good, but I have only had their Fish & Chips so far, and it is blimey good. For 15% discount, you can visit their site at http://www.streetsoflond… and log in with your e-mail. And for three more days, you can get half-off at http://www.groupon.com/d… like I did. It's a blummin' brill place to get arseholed!
This isn't a new review, but more like a comment added to the last one.
I wanted to thank the guy who tried to clarify why Streets doesn't accept military ID cards. Â I wasn't satisfied with the answer to the full extent so I did some research on this because it just doesn't make sense. Â
The law said that the military ID lacks the height and weight information and that was why it wasn't valid. Â This has been challenged and the law was amended so that military ID's are now accepted (AB 59, July 2009).
That being said, if it was the law, it is so, but they were willing to accept my student ID which doesn't have my birthday, that doesn't qualify under law to be accepted in anyway shape or form. Â That being said, I feel that they have a problem with people who serve this country and any establishment who will turn down military members who signed that line to protect their sorry asses do not deserve the plot of land leased to them and it isn't legal to take that from them for a belief (it is also unamerican), I however voice my opinion and their service sucks, their beer choices are lousy and they are expensive and over crowded. Â
I don't expect special treatment with my ID, but do expect to be allowed to spend my money where ever I want to within this countries boarders since I am older than 21.
I Â came here last week on a Saturday night around 10 pm. The fact that it was in a strip mall/center/thingy reminded me of bars and clubs in Arizona.
The door guy was nice and the place is big! There's a large outdoor patio with 3 fire pits, there are a few booths that line one wall, the bar is nice and tall, and the mood of the joint was really nice, cozy (even though there was tons of space,) and warm. I wish this was in West Sac when I lived there.
The service was pretty good. I haven't tried the food yet, but I was so happy and delighted to be here that I will definitely come again.
I'm not sure what it was that sold it for me. The fire pits? The patio? No, no, it was the fact that it didn't feel like a pretentious Midtown bar, nor was it a shady dive. I find that as I get older, I just want to stay warm, drink my beer, sit with my friends, avoid haters, and not have to fight over space.
The only drawback I see in this location is that it is hella loud. Bring breath mints because you will be shouting at your friend and getting in close to their face. Also the picture quality of their flat screen tvs didn't look too clear.
West Sac Streets sucks butt.
I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the original Streets location, downtown. Back in the day, it was such a great spot and even though it's gotten kind of douchey and even though they got rid of their amazing jukebox, I will always love it.
Which is why I was eager to try out West Sac Streets. I'm in WS a lot, and this seemed like it would a fun alternative to the chain food thats out there. I was wrong.
The atmosphere is CRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPP. It's in a pre-fab strip mall and it FEELS like a pre-fab strip mall. The layout is akward. The decor is cheesey. It feels NOTHING like the original location. It feels like the owners said "lets throw up some generic British beer signs and call it a day".
The food is crap. It's not prepared the same as the other location. Whats up with that!? When I got to a different location of a restaurant, I expect the food to be at least somewhat similar. WS Streets food is crappy, small portions, oddly prepared, and just plain not good.
The staff are jerks. Rude, impolite, slow, inattentive.
I gave this place a couple of chances and I just feel yucky every time I go so I'm done wasting my money there. When I want curry chips and a Stella, you'll find me downtown.
For those of us who lived in West Sac when the only places we had were Whitey's, Club Pheasant, and the Sail, you'll understand what I mean when I say that this place gets an extra star from me just for existing. A pub in West Sac? Hallelujah.
That being said that, it pains me to say that this place is only tolerable.
For one thing, the inside is CRAZY loud. I literally was screaming at my friends, and they couldn't hear a word. Outside is a little quieter, (they have a huge outdoor patio/seating area) but on colder nights it's kind of miserable. Luckily, they have fire pits.
The food can't be the draw. it just can't. We ordered samosas to nosh on, and they were sub-par. Too hot, greasy, cheap-tasting. If I'd had 3 or 4 beers in me, it might passed as decent bar food, but stone-cold sober (which was my first mistake, I'll admit), they were kinda gross. A few others in our group ordered food, (most notably, soggy deep fried zucchini), and no one was thrilled. Again, we should have thought to knock back a few more before we dared try any of the English delicacies. Shame on us.
One hugely redeeming quality of this bar, however, is the Pub Quiz. West Sac has their quiz every Wednesday at 8:30pm. You can bring your own team, or join one when you get there. The game tends to be lively and fun, and if I remember correctly the second place team always wins porn, which I find pretty darn funny.
Verdict: Any night other than Wednesday, if you live in Southport and have an urge to go drink but wanna stay close to home, give Streets of London a go... but bring earplugs, and eat first.
However, if it's a Wednesday, go do the Pub Quiz! Bring yer friends!
We requested our lovely bartender mimic a sweet, Jameson-centric drink another pub is known for...and her rendering WINS!
p.s. What's more fun than watching a gaggle of squealing females stumble into bathroom doors and have knock-down drag-out fights with their man-friends on a Sunday night? Little is more fun, dare I say!
Super friendly service, great bartenders. And West sac's only pub. What more can I say? We used to hit up this place after work since I work next door and they always treated us well :)

For a place that bills itself as a British Pub, they need to put more effort in living up to it. I don't think much of Streets of London in Midtown, but I do like this franchise location (City of Westminster.. hah) better.
I've been here nearly a dozen times now, and have had lots of different menu items. My wife and I were impressed the last time we ate there (because it had been bad before), I think they got some new cooks. Sandwiches are good, the British fare is ok.
The servers - for some reason, they (in general) don't seem to like taking your order.
Beer selection is great - and having a full bar is great too. Outdoor areas = big plus.
The building itself could be a little more eye-catching. I understand it's in a strip mall, but it needs some more character. I feel the same way about the decor inside. While some of it is cool or typical English pub stuff, a lot of it seems haphazardly put on the walls to make it "feel" like an English pub inside.
A big gripe is that they don't show soccer. They have jerseys and scarfs hanging up inside, but the love for footy is not there. I mean, it's supposed to be a British pub! I love watching other sports, but usually when I'm there it's any American sport EXCEPT soccer on the TVs - of which they have 3. I had to ask to get a Major League Soccer game on one of the TVs, and a few minutes later some other customer came up and wanted to change it to baseball. (sigh)
If you're looking for a great pub in the Sacramento area, check out Bonn Lair in East Sac. If you live in West Sac or are in the area, this is an okay substitute.
I'm not sure if it is because I came to this place on an off night, but it is just OK to me. Â I like this location better then the one downtown, that's for sure, though.
Their prices for alcohol are fair and the place is a decent size. Â There is plenty of parking outside and they have a special room set aside for darts. Â They also have a very nice outside area with fire pits.
There are plenty of tables and seating inside as well, but all the tables we sat at were extremely sticky (-1 star) ... and there were only 2 groups total there that night.
They have a jukebox inside that their customers can purchase music they'd like to listen to on, but they had a sign/note on it that stated that they took off all hip-hop/rap music ... recently they changed the note to say that they do not play certain types of music from the machine (-1 star). Â hmmmm ....
Come here for the atmosphere and the soccer on the TV, but stay away from the food!
I was served what was absolutely the worst shepards pie I have ever tasted. It was horrible and they should be ashamed to serve it to their customers. Completely lacking in flavor, an unappetizing gruel of what looked like grey vomit with a few chunks of carrots floating in a in sea of grease. I took only a few bites and pushed the rest aside. And what is up with the soggy french fries? They were completely limp and greasy, these are not chips!
For those of you who want to come and enjoy some good beer with friends, this is the place to be. Even during the times when it is crowded in there, I still don't have the claustrophobic experience that the J Street location often provides. On Wed nights we would frequent Pub Quiz which is always loads of fun. I believe that they also play UFC fights here.
For those of you who are considering bringing your family here for dinner, understand that streets of london isnt Applebees, it's an English Pub. When you walk into a bar, there typically isn't a host/hostess and the food isnt going to be 5-star quality. Just a head's up. I've never had a problem with any of the staff at this place.
Here's the deal.
1.) They have a very nice beer selection.
2.) The place is LOUD. Don't go there unless you plan on screaming at the person next to you.
3.) I've only eaten the pizza here. It actually wasn't too bad.
4.) It's West Sac., did you expect it to be 5 stars?
West Sac. DESPERATELY needed something like this. Even if it's not the best, at least there's sort of a hang out now.....
I like this place, sorta... As in "it's better than nothing" and close to home!
The lack of a light over the beer pulls shows a basic lack of attention to detail, IMHO -especially given that a few of the bar tenders have no idea what comes out of them, apparently (I have received different beer than I ordered twice). They have posted signs indicating the beer choices, but they are moderately helpful at best. I hope a beer menu is in the works.
I haven't tried the food but the fish and chips dish looks awesome!
Went there for lunch with a couple of my co-workers on a Friday. Things were moderately busy and they did have a sign stating that it would take 20-30 minutes for your food order to be served. With that in mind we order some beer and some food (a fish & chips, a banger sandwich and a BLT sandwich).
The BLT sandwich arrived easily within the stated 20 minutes time frame. After waiting 25 minutes, we asked a passing server if they could check on the status of the rest of our food. They said they would and wandered off. Another 5 minutes pass and we ask another person about our food. Again, the promise to check on it as they wander off. Had to flag down another person 10 minutes later to once again ask about the food. Apparently this person was the on duty manager because she actually took the time to check with the computer and the kitchen about our food AND reported back to us. Apparently our order got "lost" (translation: the guy with the English accent who took our order and our money never entered the order into the computer). She was a good manager and told us she would re-enter our order and give us a refund for the inconvenience.
So their customer service recovered a few points for that effort. But then slid back down a few notches again when she dumped our refund for 2 meals onto the table (even though we order seperately, the refund was lumped together) and the french fries that came with my meal were luke warm at best.
Overall, the food was tasty but they really need to iron out their issues with the service.
DO NOT go here for lunch if you only have an hour. Â We waited about 25 minutes for our food and it was not the most fabulous ever. Â My friends fish plate was greasy and my Steak & Mushroom Pie was more like little bits of mystery ingredient in a bowl with dark gravy and a stretchy rubber cap on top. I think they microwaved it; I don't know how else you can get bread to do that. Â Maybe that's how its supposed to be, I'm not British, clearly. Â Anyway, I'll copy in my nice review below since it seems better after 5pm:
Good beer selection.. I usually don't eat here but I have tried The Ploughman. Its... well kinda strange. If you really like a massive amount of cheese then go for it, but make sure you also like whole pickled onions and plain green salad. The Scottish egg was ok i guess, but I've never had one so it may have been completely disgusting and an international embarrassment to the noble Scottish peoples.
Perhaps because it's new, they are still working out a lot of kinks here. You're supposed to walk up to the bar to order (no table service), pay there, get your drink, and then they bring your food to the table. There is a sign on the door telling you to expect 20-30 minutes for food to be ready. Only one functional toilet for now (more on it later). They got sun screens but the wind is so strong out in West Sac because of the Delta breeze
that the screens tend to clatter loudly against the windows. It's kind of annoying but maybe they will figure out a quieter way to block the sun.
Maybe I'm just new to the whole pub scene, but the whole experience seemed to me a demonstration of cause and effect. For example, the food was heavy, and so were many of the customers. There was a lot of alcohol being consumed (obviously), and many of the customers exemplified what one will look like when one drinks heavily. It ain't pretty. (I don't know if it was just the timing when I went or what, but MAN, there were some funky lookin' people eating there.) Perhaps the most poignant example occurred when I visited the bathroom. The toilet was severely befouled, no doubt as a result of the heavy English fare not agreeing with some unfortunate customer's stomach. So overall, the visit struck me as kind of, well, in a word... gross.
I had the steak and mushroom pie - a heavy, brown, stew-like concoction with a puff pastry on top. Tasted good at first, but by the time I was full, I felt slightly sick and found myself looking down the poo-like mixture and thinking, "What have I done?"
On the other hand, my friend ordered the fish and chips and that was good, if greasy. The customers at the next table over got the burgers which are perhaps the biggest I've ever seen. It might be fun to go back and order that and share it with someone. I might go back... If they clean up the bathroom.
Some of their food was good and some had problems. Â The shepard's pie was very good. Â The clam chowder was so thick it made me thirsty eating it. Â It was thicker than mashed potatoes. Â I held the bowl upside down and the chowder stayed. Â And they cut of the potatoes like they were making scalloped potatoes. Â
The shepards pie was tasty except they added like a pound of fennel so I now call it fennel pie. Â
The french fries were my favorite because it was greasy and soggy just how I like it. Â
They do need blinds bad and their service time could improve. Â They also could use some decorations or add some booths to cut out some of the noise. Â The whole restaurant echoed. Â It wasn't that pleasant eating there. Â But I will come back because the staff were very friendly and I'd like to try the fish.
I write this with full hope to update and bump my star rating...First hallelujah for a pub in West Sacramento...been sick of crossing that river to get my drink on. Â I did go just the second afternoon after the "soft" opening which may explain:
"No ham"
"No pineapple"
"Slightly less than Draft Cold Newcastle"
"Broken toilets"
"No window coverings which actually seemed to amplify the sun's heat and UV power to the extreme that my shoulders were peeling on Sunday"
"Crying kids in strollers" (just a side effect)
"Long lines little movement...almost wanted to help out"
That all said, it is a nice place with tons of potential....once all menu items arrive and the beer has time to cool up...staff was totally nice and great to actually run in to West Sac folk....except those crying babies still bug.
