First off, we had a great time at the Tuesday Open Mic. Â There were some comedians who were totally...meh...but others who were great! Â We came to laugh and we did. Â And this may be my Utah showing, but I loved that it wasn't just a bunch of white boys, but was actually quite diverse, including women, too, though too few (though I don't blame the club for that).
We wanted to get tipsy and both managed to get buzzed, but only with the two item minimum. Â The Seamen shot was potent! Â But the Tokyo Tea left me wanting. Â I wanted to get slammed and I thought all that liquor would do me well, but it seemed pretty watered down :( Â Otherwise, all our drinks were yummmy - that includes the Hurricane and Leg Spreader.
Our server was personable and worked the room pretty well, I felt.
As for parking, mentioned by others here, I really don't know what you would bother driving. Â The light rail station is nearby and it's not too much of a walk from midtown. Â Alas, America the lazy...
Oh! Â And I didn't think the bathroom (at least men's) was gross.
I always have a great time at Laughs Unlimited.
I went recently for open mic night and I really enjoyed the experience. The service was awesome. Larry, the bartender was really friendly and made superb drinks.
The show was great. The comedians were really supportive of each other which I thought was really cool. Shane Murphy was definitely my favorite!
Was there on Sunday part of Tahitian celebration taking place in old sac. I stopped in to cool off and get something cool to drink. Huge mistake bartender Larry was a fun sucker! Music was good and crowd was lively. Larry's bad additude made the brief brake displeasing. I will never go there again. He even made me feel bad for his co-worker George. Little angry bartenders are the worst!!!!!!
