I was pleased to see a new Subway open in Pilsen. Â However, after my recent experience there I won't be frequenting this place. Â I'd go the extra mile to the next closest Subway just to avoid doing business with the management of this store. Â They distributed flyers for "Customer Appreciation Month" at this address with deals and coupons that they did not want to honor. Â When I asked about the "any footlong for $5" offer as stated on the flyer, they said no and pointed to a sign in the window with some other offer. Â I showed them the flyer and they still said the flyer wasn't relevant. Â Then when I tried to use one of the coupons, the manager said it didn't cover the items we ordered. Â He told us to read the fine print, so we read it out loud to him and he wouldn't listen (the fine print on the coupon excluded some items, but these were not what we ordered). Â He obviously had not read it himself. Â When I accused them of false advertising the manager still continued to argue. Â I certainly did not feel like an appreciated customer. Â Oh, and while I was debating with the manager about the coupon, the server put onions in my sandwich even though I had told him twice "no onions" (which I did not see him do but found out later when eating my sandwich)!
