Yeah 5 stars. I don't do that too often. However this joint is that cool. EVERYONE knows about their beer prices. They are..wait for it...wait for it...LEGENDARY. But you can not overlook the value you get with their food. My lunch buddy and I ate there recently and we were both amazed by first the quality and then the pricing. My friend had shrimp tempura. Shrimp, veggies soup and sticky rice-$7.99. That's about the going rate of a good breaded tenderloin;and Tempura frying is a little bit trickier than floating a tenderloin. I opted for the 2 roll combo with miso soup or salad for $6.99. For my adult beverage I chose sake. I'll be the first to admit beer is complementary to most food;but with sushi I am old school-warm rice wine. That too is nicely priced at $6.99;for a good sized carafe. This time I had eel & cucumber and spicy tuna. I'm all thinking about what I'll have next.

I tried the Sushi Bar for the first time and enjoyed it.  It's a clean, open atmosphere inside and a nice central location in B Ripple (I recommend sitting at a table by the windows-great people watching).  I really liked all the bamboo.

I was with a friend and we tried 4 of their rolls.  The one's that stick out are the Christmas and Tokyo rolls.  It was all tasty though.  I have been to the other sushi places in Broad Ripple and I think this one is my new favorite.

We had sake with dinner, but yes, they have kick butt beer specials!

    Give it a try.

First off, that is one hell of a beer special.  Dollar domestics, two bucks for imports.  The sushi itself has decent prices, not super cheap but not terribly expensive.  We got four rolls (oh jeez), and they looked absolutely delicious - there's something to be said for good plating.  We had three of the fancier rolls (Birthday, Christmas, and Tokyo) and a more basic Philly roll.  I think the Philly was my favorite - so simple but so delicious.  The others were good but the flavors didn't quite "pop" like other sushi I've had.

I don't know what it is about good sushi places, but after my meal I always feel this mysterious sense of Zen-like satisfaction, like I just want to lean back in my seat and go "ahhhhh" as the universe showers me with cosmic goodness.  Maybe it was that I finally managed to get over my horrible habit of using chopsticks like a complete doofus.  I'm sure the pair of Sapporos I drank helped out a bit.

I'll definitely be coming back here, hopefully with a group of folks so we can sit in that sweet party room with the circular table.
