Well worth the visit. Try the purple passion-it will get you real nice, kinda like a long island that tastes like grape kool aid. Â the bands that perform here are DC to the core - total recall, vybe, after hours band used to perform here - that's when i fell in love with the place. Â most nights there's just enough crowd to be sociable but not so much that you can't move around and have a good time. Call Shawn on theire website if you want to set up something special. Â Parking can be a b*tch so car pool with that D.D. You'll probably want one anyway.
Review Source:GOOD food + booze + tunes = a good time had by all
On weekends, Takoma Station is a nice little (read: pretty damn small) spot to meet up with friends and hear some great local bands. Â The weekdays are more of the same -- but with poetry readings/slams and jazz bands. It's more chill, perfect for the "30 & up" crowd.
Parking can be a bear, but the Charlie Parker Basket (wings, fries), liquored up drinks and tunes make it all worthwhile.
