Really great, new spot! Excellent food, quick service, and friendly staff. I recommend trying the crab rangoon, sushi, Panang curry, or Pad Thai. You won't leave hungry.
As another reviewer mentioned, the only small drawback is the music (or lack thereof). It's awkwardly quiet, which makes for a sleepy atmosphere. The space and décor are beautiful, so I think they just need to mix up the music a bit. Still definitely worth trying though. I'm rooting for them!
Great food and very affordable, but for the love of all things awkward they really need to do something about the ambiance. There's barely any music in the background and the restaurant is pretty quiet to begin with so you can hear almost everyone's conversation and they can hear yours. Definitely not an advised location to have a private dialogue.
Besides that though everything was excellent. There's sushi and thai, the portions are large and again it's super affordable especially cause it's BYOB. If you're not shy and don't care if others are all up in your business then you have zero problems, but if so you may want to just order take out.
Loved Talay. After frequenting Butterfly for quite some time, we decided to give Talay a try. Better Crab Rangoon, with huge chunks of crab. Better sushi and overall fish quality. Better green curry, my personal favorite. They offer brown rice. Friendly and prompt service. Really nice space. Still a BYOB to boot. We will be coming back, without a doubt.
Review Source:We've been here 3 times since it opened and it is great! Service is friendly and fast. Atmosphere and decor is chill - somewhere between laid back and hip. There are TVs, which is usually a turn off for me but they aren't placed in a way that makes them distracting. When they play music, it is a good mix.
I tried a red curry that was great, pad see ew - also great, Mongolian beef which was good but nothing special, and several sushi rolls (godzilla, spicy crunchy tuna, spicy salmon, rainbow, avocado salmon), and all were yummy. My partner had the pad thai which he liked, but I thought was just average. We had the crab rangoon app and that was also good. The sushi is fresh and not over the top fried and soaking in cream cheese, so you can pretend that it is relatively healthy. (Not that I have anything against fatty fried creamy cheese deliciousness!).
This is turning into a weekly stop for us now. It is a great option for when you and your better half can't decide between Thai, sushi or Chinese as you can both get what you want! Â Also, the prices are very reasonable.
It is BYOB for now, but they have applied for a liquor license.
They seem to do a lot of takeout as well.
Check them out!
