This business is listed here twice on Yelp, both as a pizzaria, and as a restaurant, but they are one and the same. It's a basic, no-frills, family Italian restaurant. Nothing here will rock your world, but the food, generally, is good, and cheap.
Ate dinner here a few nights ago. I had the "large" portion of veal parmagana with spaghetti, and my wife had cavatelli with fresh broccoli. That, plus two glasses of house Chianti and a pint of Brooklyn lager beer totalled less than $50, inc. tax.
As long as you are not expecting a frou-frou gourmet dining experience, you could do a lot worse that to come here for a drink and a simple, middle-class Italian meal.
Great food & friendly (but busy) servers; they are willing to substitute items. Â For example, Chicken Florentine... I ask for Shrimp instead of Chicken ~ no problem. Â Several of their dinners have capers in them ~ if not, I ask for them to be added ~ they are very tasty little "vegetable pods".
The house salad is REALLY GREAT and I always choose the house dressing! Â You can order a large bowl for the table, but it's better to choose the individual salad (for $1.95) if you order an entree.
Nice decor. Â It's a very busy restaurant most of the time. Â They will only take reservations if you have 6 or more people in a party, so I suggest that on a Friday or Saturday evening, be sure to be there by 5:30-6pm, otherwise you'll probably have to wait awhile. Â There are 2 choices for waiting ~ a bar or a very large waiting room with padded benches just inside the entrance.
The desserts are delicious ~ many choices.
The bathrooms are clean.
As for the pizzeria section, we've ordered take-out pizza many times and always been happy... many choices & the pie is nice & large.
