Interesting place. Â Not big into buffets anymore but thought to try it out and see what all the fuss was about. Â Plenty of selection of food. Â Too bad many of the people there act like they have never seen food before. Â Sushi bar is definitely a nice added bonus. Â Not an expert on sushi but it seemed fine to me. Â Lunch buffet prices are the way to go otherwise in the evening you're looking at close to 10 dollars for one person. Â
Plenty of "American" selections for those of you who do not favor the Asian food. Â Squid is also on the buffet as well as kimchi! Â Those are some added bonuses. Â Check it out and see for yourself if you enjoy buffets, more than likely you'll be pleased with the selection. Â Otherwise if you want the sit-down restaurant experience go for that and spend your money wisely.
The food here is good, but it's kind of greasy and it's really expensive. They need to lower their prices about $2 to get us back in there! We only go when we have coupons! Â The cost is $11 but it doesn't include your drink, which is another $3. It's just too much for a buffet in this city! But again, they do have really good food. :)
Review Source:The best Chinese/Japanese/American buffet in Terre Haute. HUGE selection and their sushi is above your average buffet type.
The Hibachi grill is sooo good! Each time I go (I have been over 20 times) I never get tired of it! Â
The coconut chicken is OUTSTANDING! My only complaint is their General Tso's. It is way too sweet for my tastes!
Their selection of American items is vast, from fish, bbq chicken, and even steak! WOW!
Friendly, clean, and I would even say fun! Kid in a candy store type feeling. $6.89 for lunch.......worth every penny. You can still eat semi-healthy there too with the amount of choices you have. I think I will go there today! Just thinking about it as I do this review is making me hungry!
For Terre Haute, Indiana this place is a must go. Â Chinese themed with a waterfall fountain motif in front lobby. Excellent buffet lay-out with ample seating. Â The verity of foods in their buffet was impressive, with an emphasis on Chinese food. Â You'll find plenty of Protein in their buffet from different kinds of shrimp, beef, chicken, pork, fish, even octopus. I specifically was interested in the sushi, which was unfortunately mediocre at best. Â The hibachi grill was my surprise favorite and will be what brings me back again. Â You can make your own stir-fry with any veg. and assortment of meats with yakosoba noodles or rice, ask them to make it spicy or sweet and sour, either way, it was delicious. Â Also impressive was the cleanliness. Â We happened to stay till the end of service and watched them scrub everything down. Â Also a surprise was that they only serve non-alcoholic drinks. The best value is on Sunday where dinner is only $8.98 per adult. There hours are Sun-Thr 11am - 9:30pm; Fri-Sat 11am - 10:30pm. as of 02/26/2012
Review Source:While not the best Chinese buffet I have ever been to, it was still a good find.
Located in the former JoAnn Fabric building, it offers a really good variety, especially for a buffet in the Terre Haute area.
Prices are good, as well as the variety. They offer a Mongolian style grill and sushi. The sushi is typical of buffet sushi and I would not recommend it for anyone that wants to 'try sushi'. As with most buffets like this, the fish is limited and not fresh. That being said, I was here on a Friday during lunch and the food was good temperature and they kept the buffet full.
I would come here again.
Teppanyaki Grill and Buffet is fairly priced for a huge buffet including Japanese, Chinese, sushi, and a grill where you can have food prepared on the spot. Â There is also a variety of meat being carved and some American side dishes like at other all you can eat buffets.
This is new in our town and we have been there just once. Â The service was fast, courteous, and the whole place was very clean. Â The restaurant was packed with quite a few large parties besides the regular booths of people, and the staff was efficient at cleaning and keeping the numerous food bars well stocked.
The set price for lunch is $6.89 and the dinner and all day Sunday price is $9.89.
The location is convenient, near the mall and the fairgrounds, and very close to I-70, so it appears to be in a great location to do well.
