Teresa's Next Door

Terrible attitude from hostesses!  9:15 at night making a wait list 1/2 hour long for a table for two because we were not a party of three or four despite multiple open tables in the restaurant!  We objected and even the manager would not change to seat us.  This is the second time this has happened as previously loyal customers at Teresa's Next Door.  Shall we say Teresa's No More??

I don't get out to the Western Main Line much, but after visiting Teresa's Next Door I'm going to find excuses to get here more often!

What can I add to the great reviews below?  Let's say that TND is kind of like going to Monks Cafe in Philly,but transported to the Main Line so it didn't have the crowds and parking hassles.  We went for Belgian Independence Day, and they were offering flights of Belgian style beers, I loved the Houblon Chouffe.  Service here is excellent, and they are happy to bring you samples of beer to test out.

The food was excellent as well.  They have a nice selection of cheese for appetizers.  We had the honey goat which was served with cherry preserves, sliced french bread and some red grapes. Yummy! Also sampled the mussels, to see if they were as good as Monks, and they passed the test!  I recommend the Ostend mussels.  Came with a large serving of fries and some spiced mayo.

Highly recommend this place, and hope to return soon!

My absolute favorite local bar. Once you get to know the waiters/bartenders, everyone is so nice. AMAZING selection of beer. I could order a different beer everyday and it would take me months before I've had everything.

Definitely suggest going on a Monday or Tuesday, that's when they have specials on food (Buck a Shuck Monday and Tasty Tuesday). I love the varying Tasty Tuesday menu even more than the main menu (but that's probably because I've tried just about everything on the main menu already). It is also less crowded on those days and I can understand people's issues with the crowdedness and noise. The waitresses are no nonsense and they are very knowledgeable about their beer selection.

Don't know how the cocktails are because I go there for the beer, though I wouldn't expect anything less than delicious. Go to this place if you like quality beer and food.  This is not for you if you like $2 beers and reheated appetizers.

In summary: if it's your first time, go on a Monday or Tuesday night. Have the staff suggest a beer for you and get ready for some delicious food.

Oh and be sure to get one of the Belgian waffles for dessert!
