I have been to 4 different Fleming's and have come to expect a certain level of service and quality to match the prices and ambiance. Â The Radnor location is not anywhere near the level it should be. Â I went in about 5:15 after work on a Wednesday, by myself. Â I ordered a glass of wine and the full menu to order from. Â My wine glass was dirty, so I asked for a new one. Â The waitress dropped one by as she passed onto the next table.... Not bothering to transfer my wine from glass to glass. Â This second glass wasn't totally clean either and I probably should have sent that one back as well. Â My dinner was luke warm and disappointing. Â I will not go back to this location... There are better restaurants in the area, with much better service and food.
Review Source:Delicious.
It was dark, but I loved that (they seemed prepared). My mom couldn't read the menu. They brought her a small flashlight. That didn't put me off at all.... I felt high class as f@#$!!!
I couldn't stop eating. I ate my swordfish... then the lady I was with couldn't eat her whole steak... ate that... some of my mom's chicken... a sampling of three sides... cake... sorbet... everything.
I didn't delve into the beers and wines (called it a night with a few Coors and an Irish Coffee) but it seemed extensive enough.
Service was primo. Â Refilled my water every two seconds. Â It's good to see service like this still exists... take everyone you know here.... with an extra pair of pants for each of you (sized up)
Fleming's is definitely the go-to for great steak on the Main Line. It seems that whenever a special occasion comes up in my family, we always come here and have never been disappointed. Usually when we come for special occasions (birthdays, mother's day, father's day etc), we're given a small box of chocolate truffles and a gift card to put towards our next visit. Even without the gift card to motivate us, we'd still be going back!
The service is excellent, and the list of wines and cocktails is extensive. Even though I enjoy wine very much, I always go for a cocktail because of how delicious they are here!
For my main course, I pretty much always stick to the petite filet, and the quality of my orders has always been consistent. The steaks at Flemings melt in your mouth. All the vegetable sides I've had are delicious. I usually end up choosing the mashed potatoes or the creamed spinach. I'm sure all their desserts are delicious too, but I can never stop myself from ordering the creme brulee over and over again!
If you don't feel like spending a lot of money on a big dinner, I would suggest going to happy hour. You can sit at the tables near the bar and order appetizers (the calamari is my favorite) or the bar burger, which is also delicious. Drink specials are usually on, and if you sit at the bar, they provide homemade chips. Happy hour is also a great time to sample a wine flight, since the restaurant isn't too busy yet and the bar staff has more time to discuss the wines with you.
