OK first looking at all the yelp reviews for this place, a lot of yelpers with only 1 or 2 reviews are giving Terra 5 stars and are artificially boosting the average for this place, quite suspicious.
Now this establishment is not close to 5 stars and is a 3.5 in my book.
On the plus side: Â there is some effort made to offer different flavors both in their small plate menu and their main entrees. The dishes are well presented.
On the minus side: the decor is banal, the place gets loud, the service is adequate but not that professional, the entrees sizes are rather small for the price paid.
So yep the food gets 4 stars, the rest of the experience brings the rating down.
Food we had that was worth mentioning: the mixed green salad wasn't drenched in dressing and quite the contrary, the flavor was subtle and the goat cheese was breaded which was a nice differentiation. The scallops in the entree were cooked to perfection and the side which was a blend of cauliflower and couscous made the dish interesting. The pecan pie was really good but I didn't care much for the Homer ice cream. The decaf coffee was not top notch and reminded me of the soluble kind, a disappointing way to end the meal.
Overall give Terra a try and judge for yourself. At minimum you will enjoy the food, the rest is a matter of preference.
