This is my favorite steak restaurant in Columbus.
The food: Is delicious. The steaks are tender and cooked just right. Servings are huge.
The ambiance: unpretentious. Good place to take a family or familiar date.
The one downside is that there are no reservations. Everyone must take a number and wait.
Stopped in for lunch at Texas Roadhouse. This is our first time. The staff is friendly, and the meals are delivered in a reasonable time. I had the fried catfish and baked potato and cesar salad. The staff told me they make their own Caesar dressing, their own bread and cinnamon butter. This is done daily. Everything is made from scratch. Already I'm impressed. Jeff had the rib-eye with steak fries. My lunch came hot, not medium hot, but hot. The salad was the best I've had in a long time, very fresh. I took 2 of the fish home with me. I tried a bite of Jeff's steak and it was so tender, and very good, and done to perfection, not overly seasoned. Love the peanuts in a bucket. Haven't seen that since AR. at Coltons. The dipping sauce for my fish was not tarter like I'm used to, but a Creole mustard sauce. Delightful surprise. It was a good experience over all. The decor is country western, and casual wear.
Review Source:I got nostalgic today and decided to pay a visit to Yelp Columbus. Â I used to work at this Texas Roadhouse as a teenager and always loved the food. Â The steaks, cut by an in-house butcher, are inexpensive and melt in your mouth. Â I have yet to find a steak house that I've loved as much as this place. Â Every time I go back to Indiana, I always eat here and take whoever is with me.
All the food here is FANTASTIC. Â I've yet to eat anything that I don't like. Â That includes the veggies, salads, and loaded baked potatoes. Â *drools* Â
The next time I'm home, I'll be here....collecting unnecessary calories with an enormous smile.
