Thai Kitchen 2 could be the best Thai in Springfield.
I've never eaten in their dining room--we always do take out since they're so close to our house. However, the service is so good just for take out, I can't imagine it wouldn't be any less for dine in.
Food is great--spice level is perfect and they always listen to what you want. It's also SO FAST. Ready in ten minutes or less, every time. Pad Thai is a sure thing and so is their beef and broccoli. If you do get the Pad Thai, make sure you ask for extra sides of their peanut sauce. Yummmm.
Best Thai in town. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. I'll share a few of my favs. Lets start with appetizers... Thai Tope is yummy goodness on triangle sliced toast topped with pork, red onion and cilantro. Its also served with a sweet thai sauce. If you want something a littler healthier go for the spring rolls. The soups are packed with flavor. Bume noodle soup wet or dry is a winner along with Lemon grass soup. I usually stick with the noodle entrees so my picks include Pad Thai, Pad See Eaw, to name a few. If I'm torn between noodles and rice i go for Pad Woon Sen. A healthy helping of both. You have the option of controlling your heat factor on the dishes you order. I'm a hot freak so all my meals are medium or hot. Enjoy
Review Source:I've been going to Thai Kitchen 2 since it was located on Monroe and never once have I been disappointed.
Every time I go in, I'm acknowledged almost immediately by a server or someone working the cash register.  The place used to be a Pizza Hut, so the decor is relatively humble, but I like that you can choose where you sit. Besides, once you get your food (which is QUICKLY) you definitely won't be checking out the restaurant around you.
Their menu is pretty varied with curry dishes, noodle bowls, fried rice, soups, and some standard Asian fare such as Broccoli beef and cashew chicken.  Their standout menu item would have to be the Bume soup.  I can't describe the flavor, except that it's magical.
If you're looking for no-frills, awesome food this is your place.
let's start with the positive. Â the crab rangoon, and the sauce that came with it, was great. Â now, for everything else. Â service: curt and detached. Â pad thai: clumpy and oily. Â green curry with fish: Â a few small pieces of fish; no sauce. Â tea: tasted like it had been it the pot a while.
the verdict: Â this place is relatively new, so hopefully they'll work out the kinks soon. Â until then, try magic kitchen.
