Time Out Tavern

Great people great djs and ridiculous drink specials !!!

The Time Out Tavern is now called the Mars Lounge. I guess it is the new owner's attempt to class up a strip mall bar located next to an auto mechanic shop. I have been here several times for Sunday football when it was still T.O.T. It wasn't impressive, but it was certainly convenient for watching non-televised NFL games. Food was typical bar food and drinks were hit and miss at best. Service was ALWAYS slow. I made the mistake of going once for a drink on a Friday. It was quite the collection of South County's biggest idiots.

I went to watch the game this morning and it sucked! I am guessing they were trying to make the place look busier, but they removed half the tables...not a lot of places to sit and see all the screens.  Par usual, it took too long for someone to take my drink order and even longer to get my Bloody Mary...tasted like they substituted water for the vodka. Waitress took my food order, screwed it up and came back to confirm. Once the baked potato came, she said the kitchen mixed up my chicken sandwich for a chicken salad...riiiight! Apparently, I was suppose to eat the potato until the sandwich came out at a later time. She left without asking if my obviously empty drink needed refilled. After 10 or so minutes, I paid for my crappy drink and walked out.

It looks like it is the same building with a different name, but no other changes. That is the last time I will see the inside of that establishment.

Horrible Bar service!
Saturday night we waited at least 20 minutes to order from the bar.
Several other's who came after we'd been standing there we're served first.
Someone in our group thought maybe they weren't serving us because we were "with' a table which had a waitress.
If that's the case let me know rather then ignoring me. I had a tab open behind the bar!  
My friend loudly told the closest bartender " whenever you're ready" and he rolled his eyes and turned away! My patience ran out- we were totally being ignored. I yelled that I wanted to close my tab. (No tip for you!)  We were able to find the waitress who was very help attentive and my friend let the manager know what was going on. Once she was involved we we're acknowledged. Super strange, rude and shitty.
The bar staff on 10/6/12 totally sucked.
