Islands Restaurant

The food is not bad for being known as a burger joint. All their burger meals combo with endless fries. However, the fries are usually the from the bottom of the bin so order some fresh one right away.

I love Islands HOWEVER, the service at this location is TERRIBLE. Our waitress was literally MIA the whole time! I had to ask for plates, forks and refills. We brought my 4 year old nephew who had to wait over 30 minutes to get his dinner. Do you know how hard it is to keep a 4 year old behaved at the dinner table for an hour??? Our food was delivered to HALF our party. The other three people had to wait until they cleaned the silverware to bring out the rest of our burgers... Seriously?! What manager runs his business like this? I know... Steve does. After I complained to him, he didn't do squat! How about apologizing to our table? How about comping my husband's meal since all 7 of us where there celebrating his birthday? Nope! Nothing! We gave up our table at Riptides (restaurant upstairs) because Islands had an open table first. Big mistake! I would rather wait two hours for a table someplace else then come back to this crappy service. Hell no!

I have been a fan of Islands for 20 years. But this location has some serious problems with their waiters. Not sure if they are overloaded with too many tables or what. But you will get just two visits from your waiter. Once when they finally decide to come take your order and again when they deliver the check. Service is S-L-O-W. Don't expect soda refills or prompt service. What would it take to deliver a basket of fries before the entrees instead of after them?
