Dublin 4

Wasn't happy with the service I recieved from the bartender.  She is not customer oriented at all. Ordered the fish and chips, not a crispy exterior to the battered fish-it was soggy and the way they piled the fish on top of each other, the heat reduced the lower fish to complete mush. Don't know if everyone was having an off night there, but bad service + bad food + high prices = no return for me.

Dublin 4 is a great Gastropub, truly living up to the category.  Many small plates complement the wide range of delicious, mostly local craft beers.  The food is excellent, with my personal highlight being the lamb burger.  Order it medium rare and the meat just melts in your mouth, while the goat cheese and red pepper add a ton of flavor.  I've also had the scallops entree, but would not highly recommend (there are much stronger choices).  For dessert, order a side of the delicious Guiness ice cream, which is churned in-house.  Way better than ordering off the menu with the Molten Chocolate cake, as I just wanted more of the ice cream.

The only really annoying part about the experience is the parking lot, which is very small and only has one entrance and exit. But that's nothing that a $5 valet cannot fix.

Dublin 4 is in a strip shopping center right by the 405 freeway.  Fairly unassuming from the outside.  But, once you enter into the establishment, it is a very welcoming, somewhat Irish pub-modern gastropub feel.  The service here is absolutely exceptional.  Our waitress was very attentive and sweet.  After reading the multiple favorable reviews of the lamb burger, I decided to try it.  And, much to my pleasure, it was a good and delicious choice.  The lamb burger patty was moist, juicy and yummy.  A good lamb taste but not overwhelming as some lamb can be.  The bun was sweet and moist and offset the lamb taste.  A feta cheese was used which was the perfect compliment to the lamb taste.  The lamb burger is a stand out.  Also, the beer selection here is great.

Dublin 4 is a go to place to which I will return again.
