We for a late lunch on the weekend went despite all the warnings on Yelp, and were very disappointed with this place in general. There are flat-screen TVs plastered all over the walls and very loud clubbing music constantly in the background. It was very hard to focus or have any sort of conversation since the atmosphere was a persistent assault on your senses.
There was only one waitress taking care of all the patrons, which is OK since there really wasn't many people. However, it took a long time for the food to come out after placing our order. Really, with only ~15 total diners (most of which were already finished with their meal), it should not take half an hour to produce 4 pieces of nigiri sushi. The rolls took even longer (for which our waitress was apologetic), and though I liked my Pink Roll, they were just average quality that didn't justify the price or wait.
Food is run of the mill...you can get the same thing at any typical Japanese restaurant. Â
Food service = SUPER slow. Â In their defense, they were EXTREMELY understaffed and they didn't expect to be busy the night we went. Â The sushi was plated super fast (I could see lines of plated sushi hanging out on top of the sushi case waiting to be picked up), but the servers just didn't have enough hands to serve tables AND run food. Â The hot food, not so great. Â I couldn't see in to the kitchen so I didn't know if it was just waiting to get picked up, but any cooked items we ordered arrived extremely late. Â
Server experience = good. Â Our server, Taylore, was super nice and accommodating and completely acknowledged their lack of staffing. Â She comp'ed us the cooked items out of apology and did her best. Â I can't really fault her for the restaurant's poor staff management. Â
it's a good place to hang out and have drinks with friends, so that's worth considering. Â Just concentrate on getting sushi only.
I went at lunch with friends when they opened and we were the only ones there. Â We had specialty rolls, spider crab was ok but a very small portion, I love you roll had lots of fish that you could tell was pretty fresh, but on whole it was a pretty tasteless roll, the Hawaiian roll was better but the mustard sauce was pretty distracting.the best roll was the crunchy shrimp roll, good portion size and really flavorful.
The waitress was sweet but would either  pay too much attention to us, or too little. Refilling my water but not my friends and then only after we asked.
