I've been to the Mokena location a few times before, but last week I finally made it to the Tinley location.
I would add another star and probably frequent the restaurant more if they had some healthier food items, but overall I really like Tribes. I did see that they added a grilled vegetable sandwich that I was going to order, but they weren't serving it yet when we were there.
I love the extensive beer list and I love that there are plenty of choices for those who don't love super hoppy beers (me!).
My friend and I shared the Mexi-Cali poutine (poutine! even if it's not good I'm going to love it. And this one was good.) and the spinach artichoke flatbread for dinner. Both were very nice sizes - good for sharing. We polished off the flatbread, but still had a lot of poutine left over by the time we were full. (I know, I know, I go on about healthier items and then order the poutine and flatbread, but I figured if there wasn't anything really that healthy then I'd get something I knew I'd enjoy. Plus I shared it! Don't judge.)
If the food is anything like the Mokena location, I know there is plenty good here when I want a calorie splurge. When that time comes, Tribes will be at the top of my list (and I may not share that poutine)!
Beer could have been colder. My steak was over cooked (ordered med rare. served med-med well) The mushrooms were advertised as garlicky couldn't taste any garlic. Â We placed our food order at 6:00 the soup and salad came quickly then waited until 6:40 to receive entrees. Noticed the chef hanging around the bar a lot. He probably should be In the kitchen managing the quality and production of food. Also I noticed another manager looking like he wasn't doing to much. Our waitress was nice and very patient and helpful. The beer list is awesome. The ambience is relaxing and fun. I just think they need to pay a little more attention to detail in the kitchen.
Review Source:This is my go to bar. Great rotating beer selection, awesome burgers, and comfortable atmosphere. You can actually talk to people there without having to try and talk over music or the game. The wait for a table is always less than they say and I personally don't mind it because I just get a beer at the bar. My sister LOVES the lobster rolls (not a seafood fan myself) The bison burger is a can't miss with me. This is the best place to go and watch a game with a few friends without the loud rowdiness that kept me out of bars for the last two years.
