( day time review only )
so.... basically... if you're looking for a beer.. a frozen drink.. or some nice appetizer(ish) snacks to eat.. with a few tunes playing in the background.. this is your place... Â
bar area.. quite large... lots of tables with umbrellas.... ..
no sand beneath your toes... as your on a wooden deck... right on the beach with excellent view of the waves.... lots of sun ... if not under an umbrella..
there are cabanas to rent... that are shaded....
Excellent service here... decent prices... and decent food and drinks...
I don't really expect much from these beach bars. I figure light handed pours of booze in fruity frozen mixed drinks and some oysters are fine. Well trump only has one of the two and it's not oysters.
I just wanted a quick bite to eat, a potty break and a little break from the beach so we popped into the beach bar for snacks. I ordered the peel and eat shrimp, because they no longer offer fresh oysters. Mostly the menu is full of fried crap that likely tastes like crap and I wanted to avoid that. Sadly they cooked my shrimp so very much that it felt a bit like chewing rubber, and after a few I quickly gave up on my hilariously overpriced snack.
I will pass on this place next time. I mean, walking in with low expectations and still being let down is too much for me to forgive.
Horrible food, horrible service. My friend and I went to the Beach Bar on a Sunday afternoon. The waitress was slow and had an attitude. The food, which is just basic bar food, was disgusting. How do you mess up something as simple as nachos or chicken tenders? I guess where there's a will, there's a way. It's a shame because it's a cool venue, if you want to chill by the beach and hang out without having to get all jazzed up. Anyway, I won't be going back unless I just want to grab a beer... can't mess those up right? :/
Review Source:Took so long that we left before getting food. The waitresses did not go over to us to get our order even though I went up to them after to make sure they saw me.
We danced at their dancing area, that was pretty cool. They had a big chair that was a cool photo prop. I wish I had the food but I can't share my experience with that.
Even though I wanted to give this place a 1 for the terrible service, the amenities (dancing floor and giant chair gives it that appeal).
Drank my lunch on a great day at the beach! Â Fun band playing and lots of activity to watch. Â Got my picture taken on the Big Chair. Â Didn't eat, so I can't tell you how good the food is, but drinks came swiftly... no complaints here! Â
Much more fun that losing money at the casinos!
This is an okay bar with lots of open space (large dance floor) and a good view of the beach. Â There's always someone dancing or singing karaoke during the day and it can get quite crowded at night. Â I think the bathrooms could be a lot better (as someone said, it's like a carnival trailer bathroom-just no). Â The crowd seems slightly older for a beach bar. Â Okay, worth a trip to take a look for yourself. Â Nothing too special. Â If anything, I think people end up going b/c it's the loudest place on the boardwalk in terms of noise.
Review Source:The atmosphere is nice and it's a great spot for day drinking.  Being on the beach is awesome  so it earns 3 stars for that alone. Â
It took FOREVER Â for our waitress to come to our table. Â Took her even longer to come back to take the rest of our order. Â The drinks were OK but pricey. Â We had the Bang Bang Shrimp and the Buffalo Dip - both equally underwhelming. Â I would stay away from the food there. Â Also, the bathrooms are in some kind of trailer thing - I think the Trump could have probably afforded to build some real bathrooms at the place. Â After we were eating/drinking for a while, I wanted some water and had to go to the bar for it because our waitress was no where to be found. Â The bartender first ignored me and then reluctantly gave me water and said "I'm not supposed to give you this but I will because I'm nice." Â What? Â It's water...pretty sure you can give it to me. Â Also took us about 20 min to get our bill because our waitress was MIA again.
I would go back just for the atmosphere though.
Some friends and I were in Atlantic City this past weekend for a weekend type getaway and we decided to stop in Trump Beach Bar for afternoon cocktails on Saturday afternoon. Â Everyone was having a good time dancing and whatnot. Â The DJ was pretty legit as he did a good job mixing up new school and old school songs everyone knew and enjoyed. Â The drinks are a little pricey but given the atmosphere they seemed worth it until our bartender named DEREK just decided to completely ignore us. Â I dont think he's a good multi-tasker because once it got busy he immediately became flustered and rude to customers. Â He yelled at a patron for calling him by another bartender's name and then made a few rude comments for someone who tried to break a 100 bill for a 5 dollar drink. Â Counting change as a bartender is apparently a tough task. Â We were planning on staying for awhile and spending some money but after we waiting for a solid 20 minutes for a drink (in which he repeatedly told me he would "be right with me") we decided then that we were just going to cash out. Â It took another 10 minutes to do that. Â From there I cashed out and gave him a tip (or lack their of) that was indicative of the level of service we received. Â He then got extremely enraged that we just didn't "give" him 20% and started screaming for security. Â HAHAHA. Â How security is called on someone for minimally tipping on terrible service is beyond me especially when we were already on our way out the door. Â This guy is rude, terrible under pressure, and an idiot. Â He should be fired. Â We would have stayed and spent a great deal more money had we been served by someone else. Â What a jerk. Â Beware of DEREK, the mean bartender from Trump Beach Bar.
Review Source:Perfect for day drinking! We didn't pay a cover charge but we also went during the day. There was daily drink specials, i had the 4$ landshark drafts. There was a local radio station doing entertainment contest and prize give aways which was really fun and crowed so it did take awhile for the service but over all it's a great time !
Review Source:The best beach bar in AC (until Revel opens). Â I like that they charge cover, because it keeps the wanderers and losers out. Â It's usually only $5 or $10, but go to Bally's Beach Bar on nights they don't charge cover and you will see what I mean. Â Last year they had a shoot out outside the bar and fist fights are more common according to what I have noticed. Â They have good music, food during the day, and pitchers of beer! Â Prices are moderate, not as bad as inside the casino, but not like your local bar either.
Review Source:Travel Channel was right about this place.
Went here on a Monday night before kicking off our night. The bar sits on the beach. Nice setup, lots of tables, chairs, and bar. Nice size dance floor in the middle of things and DJ was spinning pretty good music. An eclectic crowd, eye candy for everyone. Bartenders were cool and  funny. A nice, laid back, ready to party vibe. I can definitely see this place be bumpin on the weekends.
Make an effort to go here.
Wow. Easily the best bar in the summer in AC.
Despite being a Saturday in the summer, there was no cover charge and there were a few drink specials. Mango margaritas were only $5-it was only 10 oz. but still not a bad price for a beach bar in Jersey.
The crowd was also surprisingly diverse-pretty girls wearing just their bikinis, a bunch of bachelorette parties, the typical "Jersey Shore" guys, but quite a few people in their late thirties, forties, and fifties.
I would skip the food though-besides taking forever to come out it's just okay and not worth the price.
